does anyone suffer light-headedness and balance issues? I have fibro and wondered if it was due to that or a stroke I had in 2010. I also have arthritis so I'm always in pain with that. I have been diagnosed with fibro so I don't know if the pain is due to that or arthritis. any advice would be great thanks.

Hi, I get wobbly too!! Severe lack of spatial awareness and covered in bruises most of the time! I would like to say it is just FM but can't say for sure. Xx
Yes I suffer from balance issues too iluvcutsak, and the lightheaded ness but I also have tinitus, but was told its the fibro, I'm no doctor but I think its down to both, I also suffer from arthritis, I think the majority of us that have fibro will also have arthritis, but as Sandra says if you are unsure about anything then it's best to visit your GP.....gentle his Dee x
Sorry that should be gentle hugs lol
Hi. Yes I get like that but put it down to some of the meds and being tired. I also get labyrinthitis (vertigo-ish) the effects are very similar.
Do get it checked out though.

Hi. I suffered with severe menieres which is the worst kind of dizziness you can get, and had an operation 25 yrs ago and I now have a shunt in my neck, also very bad tinnitis, so I know exactly how you feel , and like you, I still get dizzy especially when I`m tired, exhausted, stressed etc., and it is easy to just put it all down to fibro, but of course it isn`t, so go and see your doc, he probably won`t be able to do much about it, but it will put your mind at rest, especially as you have had a stroke in the past [ my sister had several strokes and she had dizzy spells etc.]and hopfully you will feel better soon, try and rest as much as possible, sending lots of caring thoughts

aww thanks everyone. I've been reluctant to mention it to my GP as I always seem to be going to her for one thing or another. I also get shakes too. I will definitely mention it all when I next see my GP. Hope you all have a feel-good day.xx sheila
Hi Sheila I have the same thing but am affected with cramp spazm's down my right side, from head to toe never know where it will hit. Dr says just don't overstretch your muscles , it is all a part of fibro....I did explain to him I can be just sitting there, or asleep and it happens.
As for my dizziness, I lay in bed and if I lay flat the room spins. I had a procedure for vertigo where they roll you over then back again and the particles in the inner ear go back to where thy should be! I thought `yes right ` but it has worked not perfect as I can still fall backwards if I am not careful.
Do get all of your problems checked out at the Dr's,
Gentle Rainbow hugs to you x (((((((((((((((((((((((((( ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Hi, saw your message and thought I could help. I don't get light headedness, but I do sometimes have some balance issues. I thought when I sometimes tripped or fell over, that I was just being clumsy!! But since it's happened quite a lot, I think it's more to do with the fibromyalgia. I can just be walking along, no problem, and then I'll just suddenly trip and fall over. It happens just like that, with no warning. Hope this helps, and hope your day is going well. Take Care, and bye for nowxx
I have also been dizzy this past 2 weeks, as well as a stroke which also effected my Left side. I went and had a lipid panel done this morning, and had to fast. but I can not stand equally on both sides. I am also switching from Lipitor to red rice yeast extract. Is anyone else worried about Lipitor?
