My son and I both heard in two weeks but they were both renewals .. Not new claims

Thanks for that. they did inform me about two weeks ago that they would be contacting my GP for additional info. I did apply about a year ago but got turned down . Since then my fibro depression unfortunately has worsened. With a letter from my MP as support I have been changed from ESA WRG to support group(apparently to be reviewed in 6 months(???!!!)

Thanks again

Hi there, from what my foggy memory allows me I think it was about 3 months the first time or maybe a bit more?but I definitely know that it takes longer the first time you apply. And the good news is that they back date it to the day you applied. In my case the money turned up in my account before the letter arrived and was a pleasant surprise as it was just before Xmas.Hope you get it x

Took months with my first claim and then they had to revisit it as got turned down first time. All in all about five to six months first time. I have just had review and sent paperwork back a week ago but haven't heard anything as yet.

Well I renewed mine a few weeks ago. Last week got a letter saying they had received it which they say they will do within few weeks of receiving. On letter it says will take up to 80 days and if I have not heard from them by then to ring them. However, it doesn't run out til September. Keep us updated. Xxx

Mine is DLA claim as DWP allowed me to obtain GP blood results and other info... So my form is dated. Feb 2013... Even though I sent it about 5 weeks ago..I'm still under the DLA application not PIP ...Wendy

Between 8-11 normally weeks and all dependant upon how long your GP or Consultant takes to reply to the medical report (if they request one) The quickest I have had one come back in was 2 days so that was appealed

just remember 99% of cases seemed to be turned down straight away. I put my application in in August 2012 and on May 31st went to tribunal to win. Though I'm still waiting for the money to come through

Hi Sylvia

Yes....my goodness you are under a lot of stress and worry. No good for your fibro. I feel for you. I am by no means an expert but your disabilities are such that you are entitled to DLA... With that money you would be able to pay regularly for help. to help your quality of life to improve if nothing else..Can you ask your doctor for a support letter?..There are also people in place to help you fill out the form...I'm sure your welfare lady would know all this..I think there is also emergency financial help in place . It's all very well your partner not wanting you to claim.. I'm assuming his health is ok?...your health is suffering... I know I'm being outspoken but that's me!!

Keep asking for help... You need it

Love and hugs
