Can you have panicked attacks because of fibro or vice versa?
I am not sure what you mean? Do you get paick attacks because of fibro? Well I would think that unlikely. However, there could be situations that one encounters that could lead to panick attacks and as a fibromite they may be more awkward to deal with. I shall think about this and come back later xgins
Yes you can as well as feeling anxious and tense about unfamiliar situations ... Before my meds I used to get panic attacks at night because I knew I wouldn't sleep and I was so desperately tired.... Even now when I HAVE to go somewhere no matter how I am feeling I get very stressed because I worry how its going to affect my health pushing myself to do things I know will cause me pain but they are unavoidable situations.....
So I would say I get these feelings because I have fibro .... But not sure of fibro actually causes them .. If you see what I mean

I been having panic attacks especially in unfamiliar situation or surroundings - these started on or around the time of getting fibro. They are exacerbated when a flare up is imminent. X gentle hugs x

i sometimes just stand in a shop looking round because my mind gos blank and i panic
Firo has a lot to answer for xxx
I panick about just going out now which is worrying me so I can't blimming win
Yes, I get the question you're asking, Painkillers. It's which comes first, the fibro or the panic attacks? For me, the panic attacks came first but once I was diagnosed with fibro, having panic attacks clicked in place as did many other unexplained symptoms. So I am now of the view that whatever in our brains causes the Fibro also causes a greater potential to have panic attacks.

Yes, I agree 100%. I get a panic attack every evening when it's bed time when I know I will not sleep. The reason I can not sleep, I believe, is caused by my brain. If I could be put in a coma for 3 months I feel sure I would be cured. I feel the whole fibro thing is caused by my brain. Not producing pain killers, not repairing muscles whilst sleeping. I hate to arrange anything at all as I know I will be too ill to do whatever it is or after I have done it. I panic about doing virtually anything at all as I can only guess at the cost of payback which in turn brings it on. It is just I vicious circle called life (for us)
Has anyone managed to get into a sleep lab to find out what actually doesn't go open for us whilst we're sleeping.?
Thanks for reading this
All the best
