Roughly what are the timeframes from starting estrogen to the transfer?

Been MIA for a while but have been checking the posts regularly. I am so happy that soo many finally got their little ones and also positive tests! And I am so sorry for those still trying 🙏🏼.

I am on my 2nd dose of Prostap for down regulation now and am trying to work out roughly when my test date will fall. I know I'm taking a massive leap (but I can't help trying to micromanaging and plan everything little thing - I think it's because soo much of this is out of our control because I'm not like this with anything else in my life 😂).

Anyway I am not sure if I will be starting my estrogen on the 21st November or the 26th November (I go on holiday and don't know if they want to scan me before starting or if I can start it and then, they want to scan me).

From my previous cycles I have gone roughly from 17 - 21 days. Can it be any less than 17 days because basically would like to have my TWW end before Christmas Day!!!

Nice to see your name pop up (although sorry you're still having to go through all of this).

I had cycles where I was able to transfer after 14 days of progynova, but also ones where the lining just wouldn't thicken so they kept adding more and more and eventually transferred around day 22.

So it really depends on how your body responds. Vitamin E can help with lining thickening (my clinic always prescribed it - 400mg a day) but you can also try the usual suspects, beetroot, watermelon + ginger juice every day and castor oil packs etc.

I had a transfer when OTD was xmas eve - it was negative but TBH I really let my hair down on Christmas day!!

Thank you soo much! Usually my lining is on the thick side anyway so hopefully I can have a shorter time on the estrogen. Yeah I think the latest time I would like to test would be Christmas Eve. Before then would be even better because like you say if it isn't good news then I can let my hair down on Christmas Day and if it's good news then it will be the best Christmas present ever. I am going to try and speak to the clinic this week to see what they say 🤞🏼😊 xx

hey is it a down reg FET or egg collection cycle you are doing? For FET my timeline is usually roughly

Prostrap on day 21 of cycle

Bleed 7-10 days later

Scan to check lining thin enough and start estrogen 12-14 days after prostrap

Scan to check lining thick enough 2 weeks later after being on eostrogen

Transfer 5-7 days after that (and start pessaries 5 days before)

So transfer about 5-6 weeks after prostrap on day 21 is how I count it usually for a FET.

Down reg FET because of my Endo and Adeno.My clinic had initially advised me 2 weeks post second Prostap to start the estrogen so that would be the 21st November. However because at my last scan I had a cyst on my ovary and was still bleeding (had been going on for over 3 weeks) they have advised me to go in for a scan. But I can't get in for the scan until the 25th November which means that could potentially take my test day to Christmas Day (if I am on 17 / 18 days of estrogen (my usual in the past) and then the transfer 128 hours (6th day) after the progesterone.

So hopefully if I have to start the estrogen on the 25th then I could possibly only have to be on the estrogen for 13-14 days so the test date will be 22nd / 23rd ish. Unless the clinic also tells me I can test on day 12 instead of day 14.

ah I see! Test should be reliable by day 10 (I’ve always had my answer by day 8) if that helps as well to know your answer before Christmas 🤗
