Approximately, how long does frozen transfer take from starting meds on day 2 of the cycle?

Hi guys

I'm waiting for my period to start to begin the meds for a frozen transfer and I was wondering roughly how long it took people to get to transfer? I'm sure it will vary for everyone but looking for approximage time frames. The wait is excruciating! 😂

Hope everyone is doing well on their journeys

Xxx

Hi Kbear83,

I started Progynova on first full flow day of my period, 10 days later had a scan to confirm lining was thick enough, started progesterone that day and and had my transfer 5 days later xx

Thanks for the reply KiboXX

Wow that's shorter than I thought, just over 2 weeks for you! So it all depends on the thickness of the lining then. Do you know what the optimum measurement is for transfer?

It's so funny that when you need your period to show up it takes forever!

Where are you in your journey? Xx

Oh tell me about it! I did my FET back in January and my period was 6 days late, only ever happens when I’m waiting to start a cycle! 🙈🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m not sure what the lining needs to be, just got told mine was good! I think if you haven’t had any issues with lining in the past on fresh cycles, you’ll likely be a similar timeframe as well.

My FET was successful and I’m due in 6 weeks ☺️ xxx

Oh wow, that's wonderful! It is so exciting.

I have a 6 year old and absolutely loved the pregnancy experience (rose tinted view ofcourse - the sickness, heartburn and backache were no pleasure 😂) but it is easy to forget. Ive been trying to have another baby ever since to no avail. Something you take for granted when you've had a child already, I thought it would go without saying that I could give her a sibling.

Fingers crossed for the FET. We have 6 embryos waiting for us 🤞🤞🤞

Sending you all the best for the delivery.❤xx

Hi Kbear. 1-2 months is the average time to wait. Fingers crossed for when you go ahead. Diane

Hi Kbear83 ,

I am also waiting for my frozen ET, yet to be done next month as I just finished my first fresh cycle unsuccessful. During my first ET the scan nurse mentioned lining should be >18 thickness.. and you shouldn’t get OHSS then only they will do a transfer. If you take plenty of fluids you can avoid this OHSS. Good luck with your FT. 🤞🤞

Don’t worry, you can’t get OHSS during a frozen transfer as you’re not stimulating your ovaries x

Yes, thank goodness that part is over! Xx
