I only have a few days to wait as I have my day 10 scan on Friday 18th March but I also have a big exam due the following week Thursday 24th March.
So I am trying to figure out roughly how long after the day 10 scan and the start of the progesterone (I am presuming that will start the day after the scan so the 19th March?), will the transfer be? If all goes well on Friday that is?
Thank you π

I know all protocol s are different but my down reg scan is on 22nd, start progesterone on 27th and final scan provisionally booked for 7th April with planned week of transfer week beginning 11th April. It seems looonnnng this time but I queried with my clinic and they said itβs fine. It should mean, all will be ok for your exam but I would double check with them.Good luck btw x
Thank you for replying and sharing your experience. That does seem really long, but I have read the longer the progesterone for some people the better π€for you! It's crazy isn't it how clinics do things so differently but I suppose it's because we all are slightly different aren't we. Thanks again π
Hi jadeh92, Iβm not sure where you are in your cycle but I started buserelin on 21st Feb, had a down regulated scan on 10th March where I started eostrogen tablets (I think this might be day 10?) and due to have a scan on 21st, after which I will likely start progesterone if my lining is good enough. The doc said that the transfer will probably be 28th. I think this is called long protocol medicated FET.
Hello! I don't think my clinic does stuff for down regulating etc for Frozen transfers but saying that I get all confused (doesn't take much π) sometimes with the terminology π. I had a scan which then told me start 2 weeks of Norethisterone to induced a bleed and then on CD1 I started my estrogen and then I go for a scan on day 10 (tomorrow 18th March) and am told then when to start the progesterone and inhixa. Looking at your provisional date it's around 7 days after the start of the progesterone, which will take me to the day after my exam.. I tell myself each time not to try and plan things but I think my anxiety just tries to try and give me some structure in a situation where we have no control what so ever ππ. Good luck with your transfer π
If your scan shows your lining is thick enough on the 18th then they plan transfer and work backwards with starting progesterone. It's possible that naturally they could suggest 24th for transfer as it's 6 days later so you may want to mention your test, they can probably work around it if they know up front! This last cycle cause of weekends etc I waited two days after my scan to start progesterone so they could time transfer just right to hit on a Monday.
Thank you, I had read somewhere online that it could potentially be 6 days but I also read another 20 articles that all said something different... You know what good old Dr Google is like ππ. I can resit the exam in October so it's not a massive issue. To be honest with the stress of every day life, the IVF, a uni portfolio and an exam to revise for putting it off for a few months wouldn't be such a bad thing but I do think I would much rather get it out of the way. Congratulations on your BFP too π₯°
Thank you, for replying. So was that 6 days after the progesterone as I am thinking you started the meds the day after your scan? Either way 7 days will bring me to the 24th which is what I have read and minnesota girl also said. Thanks again π
Hi Jade, Iβll be having an FET soon as well. My nurse explained that itβs 10 days on estrogen (scan on day 10) followed by 5 days of progesterone, then transfer is the following day. I know each protocol is different but yours sounds similar to mine. All the best xx
Thank you! I had my scan yesterday lining is 8.5mm and looks healthy. So they have given me a transfer date for Friday 25th, but I start my progesterone on Sunday 20th so that's 5 full days of progesterone and then transfer day 6 like you and a few others have said.
