Day 9 progress scan low number of follicles and cyst

This is our second ivf cycle. I am on high dose gonal f due to very low ovarian reserve.

I had a day 9 of stims progress scan yesterday to find that I only have 2, possibly 3 follicles and one cyst measuring about 2.5cm.

I had really hoped for better news as this is a different protocol to last time.

Does anyone have experience of developing a cyst during stims and did this affect your IVF cycle?

I have a repeat scan on Monday, but am now worried they will either cancel the cycle, or if we do make it to egg collection the likelihood of getting any eggs is looking pretty low.

I developed a 2cm cyst which they drained during egg collection. I have a low reserve too and ended up with only 3 eggs and 2 fertilised with icsi. It was successful and I’m now 16 weeks pregnant with a singleton. Don’t get too hung up on numbers. The ones they retrieve will be the strongest and best quality. Fingers crossed for you. My amh was 4.8 last summer (before I had my first failed ivf cycle, was successful second time) I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo. Large cysts in both ovaries xx

Hi I developed a cyst during stimms but they thought it was 2 follicles until egg collection. I’ve had a scan since and it’s gone away by itself . I didn’t get any eggs from that side but not sure if the cyst was the reason . The other side was ok though . Good luck xx
