6dp5dt and losing hope

I am finding it difficult to stay positive right now. My last fet ended in a chemical but i knew from very early on that the symptoms I experienced were the same as I experienced on on my first fresh cycle which resulted in my son. I had the headaches, sore boobs, sharp twinges and cervical mucus- all signs of a positive for me. I’m on my 4th FET and iv not had any of those symptoms. I have had some dull aches and pains but they come and go and feel much more like period cramps. My boobs are slightly sore but know this could be the progesterone. I guess my main concern is not feeling the sharp twinges 24/48 hours after transfer and for me the lack of cervical mucus ☹️. Should I be comparing? Has anyone who has had multiple FET’s and had positives before had completely different symptoms? I’m feeling really anxious and I’m looking for lots of reassurance. Iv never tested early before but I’m really tempted as I think I’d rather know if I’m out already 😞. Thanks

Hi. Bless you, I can see how confused you must be. Symptoms come and go, and I feel you’ve fallen into the trap of listening to your body too closely. Keep up with all prescribed medication, and test first urine of the day, o the day recommended by your clinic. Thinking of you. Diane

Hi Diane, thanks for you message. It’s really hard not to compare 😔. I am usually so in tune with my body so when I don’t have all the positive signs as I have before with my BFPs I find it really hard and start thinking the worst. I know all cycles and pregnancy’s are different but it was weird how my last FET I just knew it was positive as i felt the exact same as I did when I had my BFP for my son. This time I’m not so sure and the wait is killing me. I will of course keep up with my meds and try not to cave and test early. Thank you xx

Hello lovely,

I've had 2 positive tests (one resulted in live birth, the other a mmc) and the symptoms were totally different for both. In fact the first I had no symptoms at all.

Try not to compare because each pregnancy is different, even in the same person.

xx

Prior to my current pregnancy (35 weeks) I had 4 failed transfers and 1 chemical. All my symptoms have been different each time (weirdly I seemed to have more aches and pains and sore boobs with the failed transfers!). The last transfer I did I was convinced it hadn't worked because I had no symptoms except for a bit of spotting, so tested early, because I just wanted it over and done with. Turns out it was positive and he stuck in. You really can't tell based on symptoms. Most of the symptoms are caused by the medications you're on.

Wishing you luck x
