decapeptyl injection during 2 weeks before FET

Hi! May I know if there’s anyone here been given decapeptyl injection for a few days before your FET ? I recently did my 2nd FET and it failed. As I compared the medications given during my 1st successful FET and my recent failed 2nd FET, I realized on my first one , decapeptyl wasn’t prescribed to me before my first FET but instead this decapeptyl injection was prescribed just before my EGG RETRIEVALS .

I can’t help thinking if there was a negligence or mistake by the doctor or even the nurse when they prescribed decapeptyl to me before my 2nd failed FET , mistaking that I am doing egg retrievals procedures. Maybe I could be paranoid so wanted to check if anyone knows about the use of decapeptyl for IVF and at what stage it’s being used and if you have taken this injection during the 2weeks before your FET.

Hello, I’ve had it twice before transfers. They have checked the womb for fibroids etc and given me the decapeptyl injection at home before traveling to Spain for frozen embryo transfers xxx

Thank you for sharing. I have some small fibroids but I was told they won’t affect transfer. I will check back with the doctor on my next appointment.

I’ve recently had it for a FET and thought the same as you that it was just for egg retrieval but nurse said it’s to give a little boost of hormones so your body starts preparing to hold an embryo before the transfer. I’ve just had a BFP so has worked for me. But never had it before and had a successful FET without it too

Thank you for sharing your experience. Do you know which hormones they were trying to boost? I know the injection will stop your period immediately , so I was thinking wouldn’t it disrupt the cycle before transfer ?

I was told its got some hcg in just to boost your body and to almost trick it into started producing it
