Anyone had this injection? I had it on the 10th of August for the start of my FET. For the last few days I've been having really bad hot flushes. It just comes on suddenly and flushes through my whole body. Just wondering if this is normal 😕 Thanks x

Decapeptyl injection
Yes, I had it several months ago when I was just starting treatment. It effectively puts you into a temporary state of menopause and this is why you are experiencing the hot flushes. There is not too much you can do about it, but it is not permanent. I just upped my water intake and this seemed to help a bit.
All the best xx
Thanks for the response. Aww that's good to know then, glad to know it's normal. I've had the injection before but couldn't remember having the hot flushes before.
Thanks 🙂Xxx
Hi Amanda86. As "CountryCat" explains, it's messing with your pituitary gland, and induces menopausal symptoms. Not nice, but as explained it is not permanent. Good luck! Diane
Oh no, I have to have that injection next month, not looking forward to hot flushes!! Had them after some hormone treatment a few years ago - didn't sleep properly for a month & everyone in work took the mick out of me, they thought it was hilarious! Just have to remember it will be worth it!! Good luck with your treatment 😊 Xxxx
Thank you 🙂 Thankfully the hot flushes seem to have passed, I haven't had any today anyway so 🤞. However, I've started my progynova tablets and I remember having some side effects from them last time so I've got that to look forward to now! 😂 Are you having a FET next month? Xxx
Hi, we're having our first DE cycle, due to down reg 3rd week in September then start with the patches a week later. Really not looking forward to the bullets (pessaries) & the side effects they bring...!! 🐦
Glad to hear the hot flushes have subsided now 😅 xxx
Oh I no the side effects can be awful 😢 Let's hope they're going to be worth it! 🤞Wishing you lots of luck with your DE cycle 🤞🍀 xxx
