The injection "switches off " your hormones and hopefully this should shrink the ovarian cyst .Can cause symptoms that are very similar to the menopause -hot flushes - mood swings - headaches But these are only temporary whilst using injections If backache continues maybe you should let your clinic/doctor know
I had this shot for my down reg, and it was horrible injection, ached for nearly a week at the site, and had a bad headache until I got my period. My mood swings were also a nightmare,
I had it twice on different occasions. Once before a myomectomy and it didn't affect me to be honest. Then secondly before deciding to do surgery to remove endometriosis and it really affected me. I kept feeling dizzy as if the ground was spinning or rising up, I just wasn't well but I had for 3 months and had to stop because of the side effect.
