Polyps and IUI

At my baseline scan last week a 3mm polyp was found on my lining, it wasn't there on my first round of IUI, which resulted in a BFN, but has appeared this time round. I am now in the difficult position of deciding whether to carry on with round two, due to surge tomorrow or Saturday, or to stop and investigate the polyp. Consultant has said it is up to me whether I carry on or stop and wondered if anyone has had any success with pregnancy with polyps, as mentioned I had a BFN in my first round without the polyp, concerned this is another hurdle to try and leap. Thank you in advance 🙂

Hope you get some replies to your post Difficult decision for you to make Maybe you should ask the consultant what he feels would be in your best interest and also what investigations of the polyp would be - how long would it take if treated could you restart treatment

Hi, My polyp was picked up just before the egg retrieval and after the procedure I was told by the consultant to have it removed before embryo transfer as it would affect implanting. Then they sent a letter to state this and allowed this to be used as a referral letter. X

Thank you for your message Linny12, I have taken the decision to investigate the polyp, consultant was happy to go ahead with cycle but I'm assuming thats because everything can be billed! I would rather investigate this now than have another failed attempt and wish id looked further into it. Pushes everything back but would prefer the peace of mind x
