Polyps are back -update

I had my first tracking scan today and there was good and bad news.

The good news was my lining is thickening nicely, not quite there but nearly.

The bad news is the polyps are back. On scanning another polyp was detected. The question now is do I have it taken out again or proceed and hope it doesn’t hinder the transfer?

My consultant is in 2 camps on this and another scan is booked for Thursday to see if the lining is ready and / or the polyp has grown.

Beginning to think Mother Nature is trying to tell me something 😢

Update

Thank you everyone for you kind and encouraging posts. I had my second scan today and the lining has increased to 7.8mm but the polyp has stayed the same size. It does have a blood supply which was a bit of a concern but the consultant has given us the green light to get the donor eggs and my DH sperm thawed.

As we are at the holiday weekend, this will not be until Tuesday with anticipated date for transfer 16th.

I’m trying to remain level headed and practical about the whole thing as I realise there are still several hurdles to get over but I am so relieved and happy ( even though you probably can’t tell through the hormonal crying). It has taken a while to get here with lots of bumps in the road.

Thank you for all your support

this is a really hard one. It’s likely the drugs you’re taking to increase the lining are causing the polyps so sounds like catch 22. If the polyps are small and not in the way you’ll probably be fine for transfer. My guess is it depends on the location of the polyp. They wouldn’t do my transfer until it was removed because it was large and in the wrong place

I hope everything goes well for you. For my transfer I had two polys. One yhe size of a ticket tac one size of a smarty. Everything thing went fine for me. Not recommended to remove. Could be different advice for you depending on size and potision.

It will likely depend on size and location. I had polyps removed in Jan as they were in the worst place for successful transfer.

I have just started a treatment cycle today with down regulation injection. Really hoping no polyps are found at my baseline scan, but if they are I’ll immediately ask re size and location as some wouldn’t be a concern.

Stay positive x
