Second ICI cycle. I had my egg collection today - 4 eggs collected which is better than 3 first time but i'm also a little bit disappointed as I was hoping for 5/6. Still, we move. All we can do is push on!
It’s a strange feeling. I am very cautious, and really don’t want to get my hopes up but also want to be positive at the same time…. as nothing made it to day 5 last time (I was told I couldn’t have a fresh transfer as my blood taken on the day showed progesterone level too high) I guess if I was fresh they may have transferred. NHS doesn't do 3 day.
Is there anything I can do to prepare for a fresh transfer? I have seen probiotic pessaries used by some? The clinic have given me cyclogest pessaries.
When will this normally happen? 5 days? Is today day one or tomorrow. I think when i feel a bit better i'll defo treat myself to a glass of wine.
Thanks so much you lovely lot. This group has been so amazing on this horrible trip.

Tomorrow will be your day 1 (following fertilisation). You may get 100% fertilisation although this is unlikely. If you are having a fresh transfer you would have been advised to start progesterone pessaries and estrogen today (after egg collection). My NHS clinic does both day 3 & 5 transfers. They (embryology team) say they see a 50% drop off from day 3 (which would be Monday for you).
Wishing you the best for tomorrow when they call you with an update.
Ah I see... maybe they saw that your estrogen levels were good.I would ensure that your uterus is warm, so go for walks to improve blood flow. Eat well and stay positive. Stay hydrated. All the best for tomorrow and next week.
Hi Cuppppatea. Well let’s hope one of these decides to stay. Keep busy, eat pi apple core, bit of exercise, even some acupuncture. I can only wish you well and say I will be thinking’ of you. Diane
If I could suggest one thing, it would be acupuncture. It might help with the transfer but even if it doesn’t (as who knows what truly works), it will help you relax and potentially cope better with the side effects of drugs. Best of luck!
Hope you are feeling okay after collection 🤗 there’s not much you need to do now except take the progesterone you’ve done the hard part! When you feel up to it some nice gently walks to keep blood flowing to the uterus and do nice things that relax you 💜 i do the probiotics on the lead up month so im not sure about introducing it after collection without clinical advice, especially with the progesterone pessaries being used now too so maybe talk to your clinic about that one. Got my fingers and toes crossed for you for Wednesday xx
