late inserting cyclogest

I was due to start cyclogest today - 2x a day morning and night with 12 hours in between. I’ve stupidly forgotten this morning (I blame work stress and issues) so have only just done it now at 10am. Is this going to be a problem? Should I let my clinic know? Would it impact transfer? So annoyed at myself

This isn't a problem. I never timed mine just did one in the morning and another in evening. No need to let your clinic know. X

Even though it’s the first one? Thank you for your reply

If had missed a whole day it might be a problem but a couple of hours really don't make a difference

I take mine any time in the morning and just before bed, I don't time them, and my clinic never gave me a specific start time for starting the first one. So unless that is the case then I'd say you're fine, 10am is still the morning! Xxx

I agree with the others. I take mine whenever I remember in the morning and evening. Are you doing a fresh embryo transfer? If yes, when? Please could you share all the medications you are on and the doses? My egg retrieval was also on Monday and transfer is on Friday. I started Utrogestan (micronised progesterone) vaginal 200mg 2 in the morning and 2 in ghe evening yesterday. I also have Progynova (estradiol) 4mg daily oral. I have doxycycline, folic acid, baby aspirin and tylenol.Thank you very much and best wishes

Hi, my transfer is booked for Saturday. I am just on Cyclogest 400 twice a day and continuing the supplements Folic acid, vitamin D, omega 3, uniquinol Q3. Nothing else! All the best to you too - not sure why the difference in transfer day! X

I only started the Cyclogest today - I’ve seen others start it a day earlier

Thank you for sharing your drugs. Honestly, I too do not understand. On my first cycle, it was a D6 transfer. This time around, they wanted me to do a D3 transfer (so tomorrow) saying there's no difference in success rates between D3 and D5 embryos and also that I'd have more embryos to transfer because last time I had just 2 embryos at D6. I refused vehemently and told them I preferred to have 1 D5 embryo than 10 D3 embryos which would not have grown any further. The Friday was a compromise between D3 and D5 transfer

Hun if you missed the exact time of your first one - you definitely need to tell the clinic.

The timing of your transfer will based specifically on the start of progesterone so they may need to adjust your timing xx

Hi, thank you for this. I emailed them to be on the safe side and let them know the timing and they just said to try and take it earlier from now. Thanks for the reply though x
