Hello ladies, my consultant has recommended I have a immunology test carried out on my endrometrium? Has anyone else had this and did it prove worthy? I have had an era test and that’s all good but still have RIF..

Any advice welcome x

Hi I am not sure what you abbreviations mean re ERA and RIF sorry.

I have had immunology tests performed have you been given information as to what tests and what they are potentially looking for.

The reason why they suggested tests for me was because of many failed cycles a missed miscarriage and to see if there was any potential underlying reasons.

My results all came back normal. Do I think it was worth doing - I'm not sure and would ask the clinic to give you a justification and rationale for the tests.

PM me if you want to chat more.

Hey hun, I was just thinking about you when I read this...endometrial receptivity array for recurrent implantation failure!xx

Hey Cinders, I’ve had an ERA test but this is an immunology on the endrometrium.. I guess I’ll just go with it and see what the outcome is!

Im sure we spoke the other day! The way Im looking at it is if nothing is found then my hubby and me will keep trying until we have no money left or we cant keep going mentally! I was a bit skeptical of doing the extra tests in Jan (bloods and endometrial biopsies etc) but I know we would kick ourselves if we find out down the line that there was something like a simple steriod that could help with our recurrent implantation failure. Its hard to know what the right thing is as it often feels like a stab in the dark!xx

I mentioned the Prednisolone and that’s when they said they wanted this test.. we speak with our dr on island next week so hopefully he may have an insight also.. I’ve also said that whatever other tests are out there, let’s get them done as I do get cross when they say.. oh, we could do this!!!

Yeah, we are just going with it too, we're doing a whole raff of immunology bloods and biopsies although I dont have the full list yet. I asked about just trying steriods but the consultant isnt keen prescribing unnecessarily. We just feel that we have to explore these avenues first as we dont want to waste anymore embryos if there is a small fix out there!xx

I understand, just wish they would do all of this in the beginning! Let’s keep in touch and see what the outcome is x
