The ever elusive implantation bleeding?? 👻😳🤔💭

Hi folks, looking for some advice please.

Currently 5dp5dt and it was a FET. I’m on oestrogen patches and pills (4 a day), as well as 3 x progesterone pessaries a day, and prednisolone… so very well medicated!

Well yesterday evening I had the faintest of light pink discharge and now this morning I’ve had a bit of pink/light brown on the applicator. In my last FET I didn’t bleed at all until 2/3days after I stopped the meds following my negative BETA.. and in my fresh transfer which was a chemical/early miscarriage I didn’t start bleeding/spotting till like 5 weeks..

So could this be the infamous and elusive “implantation bleeding”? 👻 as it’s only 4/5 days after the transfer? or could it just be that I’m bleeding through on this FET? Can you bleed through on all the meds that early ?? 🤔💭 my usual period would be due about now but I’m not sure how much attention to pay to that given all the meds I’m on…?? Xx

Hi CreateIVF, Fingers crossed it is! As you say this could all be a positive sign so stay positive and keep strong. I've had it both ways - I've had light/brown spotting on the same day on two separate cycles. One was implantation and I got a faint BFP 2 days later (turned out to be chemical later) and the other it was the meds struggling to hold back my period. You won't know until you know! 🙈🎢 Good luck!

It definitely could be implantation. I had similar symptoms around day 5 and went on to have a positive pregnancy test at day 7 of a 5 day transfer. Mine didn’t end well, but it was the furthest we had got after many years of IVF. Good luck 🤞 x

oooh it could be 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼. I had implantation bleed on day 8 of a 3 day transfer in my successful round (not this round) so I think that’s similar time to you?

Thanks so much for all the replies ladies.. it literally was the tiniest bit on Saturday evening/Sunday morning and nothing since. Obviously trying to not get ahead of myself- lol! I’m 6dp5dt now, BETA on Thursday morning at the clinic and I’m gonna hold out to that morning to POAS.. 🤞🏼

hi lovely, it’s very hard to tell but it could certainly be implantation bleeding. I had implantation bleeding on my successful round and not on my previous two unsuccessful ones.

But equally it could be irritation from the pessaries. Or something similar. It’s very hard to telll.

But will keep everything crossed for you that it is!

keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you that sounds really positive in my opinion. I’ve had 2 bfps (didn’t result in ongoing pregnancy) but both times I had some brown and pink spotting. This time I have had nothing and I did test yesterday at 5dp (too early I know) but it was bfn so I don’t think it has worked unfortunately. Best of luck for Thursday 🍀 xxx
