I recently had a negative test after a fresh embryo transfer and subsequently stopped the progesterone support. Since then, I've been having a lot of abdominal pain, especially when windy or need the loo.
At times its been so bad I can't stand, the cramping has been horrendous, but it should all be easing by now and it hasn't much at all. I knew it would be severe, but this is borderline scary.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
I've contacted our fertility clinic who suggested going the docs if it doesn't ease soon.

Hiya, sorry to hear about your negative and now you’re experiencing pain. do you have endo?
I found that after my fresh transfer my endo really flared up due to the estrogen, so I had a lot of bowel pain if I needed to loo and pretty severe stabbing cramps. Sometimes it can also be progesterone, or if you had a high number of eggs retrieved your body is still recovering. If it continues, maybe see the doc - but hopefully will subside after your period. Good luck xx
Hiya, I have a low AMH count so they only managed to get 4 eggs, I did have suspected endo but never confirmed, maybe this is part of the confirmation.
I'm hoping it's just from the progesterone and we're giving ourselves a break before the next attempt, I'm just hoping it does ease and that I'm not stuck like this or it's flared up an undiagnosed stomach issue! Thank you for giving me hope xx
Try not to think the worst, sometimes our bodies just need time to recover from collection. Fingers crossed you have some frozen and an FET is kinder on your body. I’ve had two fresh transfers and experienced pretty bad pain both times. Wishing you all the best x
hiya - I’m so sorry you had a negative 😢 when you say recently have you already had your withdrawal bleed? I find sometimes the bleed after egg collection and the build up to it can be sore. I also find that the ovulation time after it is also very sore and especially how you’ve described. I know it’s cliche but drinking lots of water and downward dog position does help me a lot. I hope it eases off for you soon x
Hiya, I'm kind of relieved to know that although it isn't normal, it's probably not scary. I actually had forgotten that the docs thought I might have endo - I've remembered now! The fertility clinic we're using haven't mentioned it but it should be in my NHS notes somewhere. Yes, the bleed has finished, and its finally easing ever so slightly, maybe curled up about 8 times today instead of in every two hours! I may have tried that position by accident, I'll keep trying x
I had a MC and a failed FET last year, since then I have definitely noticed more pain! I do indeed have Endo, not saying that you do 😊 but treatment has definitely made my pains worse. I think it’s the oestrogen xx
Hi, I think the doctors suspected I had it, but it wasn't confirmed. Now I know what I'm in for, and roughly how to manage it, hopefully it'll help me cope better. We were seriously considering stopping any future attempts if it was to carry on! One step at a time xx
