ubiquinone vs ubiquinol

I have just realised my Coq10 I’ve been taking for three months is ubiquinone form. I just thought I was taking ubiquinol 😫

Been doing 300mg twice a day. I’m worried I’ve missed a trick now. I’ve ordered some ubiquinol now but I’m starting downreg in about three weeks. Thoughts please lovely people xx

Hi! I’m pretty sure you will still be getting some benefit from it. My understanding is that ubiquinol is just the more easily absorbed version and is more concentrated. So you might be getting say a 150 benefit from a 300 amount of ubiquinine, if that makes sense?

hi, my doctor is a leading fertility specialist (Adam Balen) I asked him the same question and he said ubiquinone vs ubiquinol it doesn’t matter as the body still processes it but he said 600mg a day. 2x 300 tabs of ubiquinone I’m taking a day (which sounds like you are doing the same so all good!). He has written a book called ‘the fertility book’ which is really good for supplementing and foods etc and just general fertility advice. Good luck ❤️

the amount you’ve been taking is fine for Ubiquinone. You wouldn’t need as much for Ubiquinol as it’s more concentrated so should be fine ☺️
