In the book 'It Starts with the Egg' they say to stop ubiquinol the day before egg retreival. She does follow this by saying, there is some evidence that CoQ10 could help prepare the lining of the womb. So I guess maybe ask the clinic???
Hi, thank you for this however having just found my copy page 112 advises ‘ if going through IVF stop all supplements when you begin stimulation unless your doctor advises otherwise’
My clinic say taking ubiquinol will do no harm and it’s up to me but they feel am wasting my money as no evidence they have seen it works. So they cannot help with regard to doses and when to start and stop.
How odd it gives conflicting advice. Well I guess because its not really based on the same weight of scientific fact that the doctors use its not that surprising.
Good luck with your cycle!!! I'm on day 4 of my stims where are you? how are you feeling?
I know must admit find it confusing. Just before that she mentions ‘ if trying to get pregnant naturally you should keep taking coq10 until pregnancy’. Assuming it’s okay to still take folic acid? Pretty sure have always done that on advise from Clinic.
Are you that’s great how are you feeling ?
Last night I had my first shot of buserelin and tonight start gonal f.
I'm feeling ok so far just a bit of a background headache but that could be the caffeine withdrawal haha. I'm on Menopur and started Cetrotide last night.
I'm pretty sure it is fine to take folic acid as you take that all the way through to 12 weeks. My clinic have told me to keep taking it on my protocol.
Hi Hope. Good advice from "EmGLA". Always check with your clinic if taking anything alongside any medication you are to have. Good luck and I hope you have a positive result this time. Diane
Thanks Diane my clinic will only recommend Folic Acid and believe supplements are a waste of money. I chose to take ubiquinol and am a firm believer it will help 🤞🏼
