Stopping DHEA and ubiquinol?

Anyone know when you should stop taking DHEA during IVF? I read online to keep taking it throughout stims and stop once pregnant.

I am also taking ubiquinol, does anyone know if I should continue this or not?

My previous consultant told me to take it all the way up to egg collection, but my new consultant (who i think is better!) said stop it once you start stims so as not to interfere with the stimulation part of the cycle and your estrogen levels. Makes sense!

Ubiquinol you can take throughout ivf, once I had a positive I would probably switch to a normal prenatal x

My consultant told me to stop dhea when starting stims and to continue taking ubiquinol up to egg collection.

I took DHEA but not ubiquinol. My DHEA information sheet said to take it until my preganancy test, which is what I did. I got a BFP and now waiting for a scan.

Hi Sarah_S. Thanks, I think I will keep taking it then. I read the same thing on the centre for human reproduction website.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to this but I'd be really interested to know how much of each one should take? I've got low AMH and high FSH and have read that both DHEA and CoQ10 ubiquinol can help but never quite sure what dosage is recommended...?? Thanks xx

Hi mannjj43, I recommend that you buy the book 'it starts with the egg' by Rebecca Fett. This gives you loads of information on lots of supplements and specific plans based on low amh.

I took ubiquinol not dhea and my dr said to stop it after the embryo transfer
