hi everyone I am 2dp5dt and had a phone call from dr to say my progesterone levels are very low and I need to increase my cyclogest 400mg from 3 times a day to 4 times a day and that I also need to start lubion injections tomorrow. Has anyone heard of this? I’m struggling to stay positive if my progesterone levels are that low and already had the transfer it can’t be a good sign.
Has this happened to anyone else or anyone having to take this much progesterone?
I had a similar problEm with my estrogen levels they were low a week before the transfer even from taking 8mg estradiol a day so I also have to apply 100mcg patch per day too.
Hoping for anyone’s similar experiences etc need to stay positive. Thanks

Thanks I was more worried because I had the transfer already and that was when they did the blood test so didn’t think it would be great already being low after it
Don’t worry about it. It’s the whole reason why they do the blood test in the first place. They will rise quickly with the injections hopefully. Wish you the best outcome x
I did my blood test a few hours before transfer and on my way home from transfer had a call that progesterone was very low and to start daily prontogest shots (I was doing two per week before that) and 3 x Cyclogest per day. I was petrified but this was the transfer that worked for me xx
Yep, every time. My first FET I got called back to do an injection 2 days after transfer and the 2nd they got my blood test results back quickly and called me back the same day. For the 3rd FET they started me 3x pessaries and 2x weekly injection starting before transfer. Even with all that I still had a progesterone level of 30 on OTD - however I also got a BFP, so you can definitely have progesterone on the lower side and still be successful!
Same thing happened to me - called the clinic 3d post FET to ask re progesterone result as I hadn't heard and they said progesterone on day of transfer was lower than they'd like, but as I was already on pessaries and 1 lubion per day, they hadn't called earlier as not much could be done, I could just go up to two lubion a day. Was pretty upset and also the meds were then delivered late so I probably had a break of a couple of days more where I wasn't on the right dose, but the consultant said progesterone fluctuates naturally by a lot and what matters is a gradual increase over a few days and taking more on average over a period of time, not day to day. So I thought it was all over tbh (and I'd had cramps and spotting) so tested at 3dpt to confirm it hadn't worked (mad logic) and it was a BFP. Progesterone continued to rise but quite slowly which worried me but it was successful. So the low levels on transfer didn't stop implantation for me nor did the break in meds. I have also found that on all my BFPs my progesterone levels increase a lot more and faster from implantation (compared with the one BFN I had) so I think your body also starts to make some of it's own from that stage.
