progesterone levels

I’m due to have a FET this Friday.. I’ve had my progesterone Levels checked today and they are 34… they wanted them above 30.

Currently taking cyclogest morning and evening.

Last FET they were only 26 at similar time so they put me on Lubion x1 a day.. that transfer failed.

I’m just worried my progesterone level might drop and they weren’t keen on re-testing.. said I’ve got to speak with Dr on Friday when I have the transfer.

What’s everyone’s experience of my progesterone levels.. just worried it won’t stay high and I’m having a double transfer this time so want it to be high enough to give both embryos a chance. Or should I be happy it’s measuring higher than last time and no need for the Lubion?

Hi! I would push for another test on transfer day. With my last FET, my progesterone was 27 two days before transfer. They increased my dose by adding Crinone gel mid-day to the cyclogest I was already on. On the day of the transfer, proesterone had dropped to 24, so they doubled my cyclogest in addition to the Crinone gel. Currently 31 weeks. Good luck!

I think that's what made the difference for me compared to my first FET, which didn't work. Very best of luck!

Thank you.. another nurse just called about something else and I asked to get booked in for another test.. she said I wouldn’t get results back that day but can take Lubion if it eases my mind! Every nurse has a different opinion!

I’m having my FET tomorrow! I think they will test tomorrow before the FET. I’m on daily prontogest (progesterone) injections so thinking it’ll be all good 🤞 Best of luck x

Good luck with the FET tomorrow! Have your clinic said what levels they want you to be at?

I asked the nurse today about progesterone levels and she said the consultant likes them to be 100 or above.

No, they’ve just said we’ll check to make sure they are at the correct levels 🤷‍♀️ but I do know that the consultant upped the progesterone to daily rather than every other day.

Hi there I’ve had an embryo transfer on the 19th June and my progesterone was 39.4 on transfer day with 2 cyclogest and one lubion injection. I was nervous it would drop so pushed for another check a week later and it has dropped to 31 which they said is still within normal range but the doctor then said I can up the dose to 2 lubion until OTD which is this Friday. I would push for another check even if it just for peace of mind. Sending hugs good luck 😉❤️ xx

my clinic doesn’t even check progesterone level unless untill you get bfp so when I got my bfp my hcg was 2185 and progesterone level was jus 15 later they doubled my dose I was on injection till 12 weeks now my baby girl is 4 month old.

Hi, I would ask them to test you the day before the transfer I had the same concern with my progestrone levels they tested me the day before got the results in the evening and made the decision on whether to proceed with transfer the next day. I also had two transferred so had the same concerns now 9 weeks pregnant. I was on 2 injections of lubion, 4 cyclogest and 6 progynova daily I believe that’s the most they can give you. Goodluck and be firm with the clinic would be my best advice.
