I requested that my Progesterone levels were tested as I have previously had a low Progesterone result come back privately and I always spot before periods.
I had my levels tested the day before my IVF transfer on Tuesday and they have come back as 91.5 nmol/L.
The doc has said from limited research he thinks the results are borderline and to add in Lubion. The only thing is I am already taking Lubion - so my clinic obvs. didn't read their own treatment plan! Arrgghh!!
Cant speak to the doc until tomorrow morning now and I am now freaking out as I am 2 days past transfer.
I'm already taking 1 x Crinone daily and 50mg Lubion injections every other day so I guess they will suggest increasing Lubion to daily...
Meanwhile - can anyone shed any light on this please let me know if you had similar results etc? I know there are a few Progesterone experts on here whereas I know nothing!
Thanks so much. xxx

Hi lovely? 91nmol is great! My clinic is generally aiming for 60-100nmol around transfer day, so not sure which research your doc is referring to but I think you should be absolutely fine. Try to relax tonight, you're in good shape xxx
Ah thank-you so much. Because my clinic doesn't really believe that Progesterone levels make much difference (and they fluctuate) and I'm the one who pushed for this test, they don't have any goals to aim towards which doesn't help in reassuring me. Plus its taken 4 days to get these results back.
To me, borderline sounds negative whereas hubby thinks it means it's the low side of acceptable. My little brain is already frazzled so thank you so much for your response. xx
My NHS clinic said they dont test progesterone level and are pushing me for endometrio test (Emma alice era). I feel like I need an extra day because the trasnfer is done like 4 and half days later. Altho it's the 5th day it's only 110 hour of progesterone. I got some pessaries from my failed cycle I'm tempted to use them a day before they say I officially can!
Ah thank you too lovely. Does your clinic routinely check the day before transfer? I think this is all new to mine so they didn't fill me with confidence!! Xx
No problem! No, they don’t. I asked for it but they were happy to do it when I asked. Apparently they said they used to do it but ladies didn’t like coming in to clinic more than they needed to, so they stopped doing it!x
So my progesterone after 108 hrs of progesterone pessaries was 8ng/ml or 25 nmol/l and my ckinic just told me to add in prolutex injection once daily on top of the cyclogest 400 mg twice a day I was taking already . What units are the ones quotes above ?
