Donor egg clinics and advice

I hope you’re all doing well.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, off the back of our 3rd unsuccessful round back in April. Since then we’ve had our remaining embryos PGT-a tested and received the news they are all abnormal this week, which I was expecting sadly.

So now we’re considering egg donor with my 43rd birthday fast approaching. I’m still not 100% sure I want to take this route, but I definitely need to find out more.

Does anyone have recommendations on egg donor clinics please? And any advice on how long the process of finding a donor takes? I’m mixed race so it’s really important to me to find a donor with the same heritage which I guess may take longer. Any advice is gratefully received! Thanks all. X

I am 45, single and about to go through my first double donor cycle in the next month. I tried with my own eggs for the past 3 years and had a lot of early losses so after some time out, soul searching and counselling, I decided I am ready to go ahead with donor eggs.

I am having my treatment in London (feel free to private message if you want clinic details) and there was a 3 month waiting list to get access to the frozen egg bank. You can then do a search with criteria including ethnicity and see what is available. You can take as long as you need to find the right donor which for me was only a few weeks. Some clinics do the matching for you and I know a lot of ladies have their treatment abroad with no waiting lists. For me, I wanted to stick with the UK and having a non-anonymous donor was important.

Feel free to message if you want any more info. It’s a big leap moving to donor eggs and I would definitely recommend having some counselling. It really helped me sort my head and feel positive about moving forward. Now I just can’t wait to get things moving knowing I have a much higher chance of success.

Hej Festis! There are many options abroad if you want to take that leap (I'm not in the UK so have explored Europe and USA). More options for anon eggs than non-anon, more for frozen eggs than fresh. DM me if you want more info on options outside the UK.

Hi festis I am currently in Cyprus hoping am embryo well happen next Saturday. I tried with my own eggs, then tried 4 times with donor eggs in the UK before arriving here. I too am 43 this year. I definitely think counselling and research helped me enormously. If you want to ask any questions just get in touch.

Hello everyone. I would like to wish every woman here who has chosen the egg donor route all the best. We tried two IVF -Cyprus and Turkey without success. I turned 46 now and appears my husband doesnt want egg donor so i decide to choose to be single mother and split with partner of 12 years. I will try to message you privately if thats ok. I will need donor egg and donor sperm. I heard donor eggs cant be transferred to another country but only the embryos
