Finished my meds after BFN....

Hello,

Just wondered if anyone can help at all....after going through 2nd round of FET (this time medicated) We are heartbroken that on our test day which was yesterday we received neg. test result. I stopped all my meds yesterday as soon as i found this out. Just wondered how long it takes to get your bleed?

The nurse said it should come soon. Sounds silly but still hoping that the test was wrong (although probably most likely isnt!!)

Appreciate if anyone can comment....

Hi, On my previous round of FET (medicated) I had no bleeding until I stopped the meds. I took my last meds on Monday night, took the test Tuesday morning, started bleeding Thursday late morning. I was told to expect it within 2-5 days so I think it usually doesn't take long. It is horrible getting your period - not just the realisation of it all but mixed with the emotional rollercoaster of coming off the drugs meant I felt really low. I thought I was doing OK until it started. Look after yourself xx

OK thanks for that - that's helpful. Yes dreading this period as i have endo too - so bleeding is not going to be nice. After i lost the other baby i bled alot :-(

Yes my emotions have been quite bad! more just feeling so, so low & down about it all!

Hope youre doing ok.

xx

If it makes you feel better my usually v.painful periods were no worse than usual on both my failed cycles. I'd heard people say they are particularly bad pain-wise after the cycle, and I was dreading it, but I didn't notice any difference. I assumed everyone else must just be experiencing my usual level! It was just my mood which dropped badly when the hormones dipped. As you say, feeling so low and down. It wasn't like anything I had ever experienced before. While not pleasant I think it it is just a natural reaction to such devastating news mixed with the change in hormones, and unfortunately something so many of us have experienced. Fingers crossed for you that any bleeding hits gently and you start to feel better soon.

Hope you are doing OK Flowergirlhope and getting through the worst of the post-FET slump. Just thought I'd let you know I got another BFN today so I'm about to go through it all again too :(

Sorry to read this, it’s just awful. In my experience, it varied from 3-6 days. Take care

Hiya, Sorry to hear this.

I'm in exact same boat as you. I finished taking mine on Thursday, woke up this morning to brown blood when wiping (sorry). Also got a negative test but still I'm thinking, this could be implantation when I know its definitely not. It's so hard.

Ahh - i know, I'm really trying hard not to kid myself but so hard not to hang on to any bit of hope! 🙏😢

Just waiting for this jolly bleed to happen and not looking forward to it - think its gonna hit me even worse!

Hope you are doing ok.

when I had failed transfers I found it was 48-72 hours after stopping the meds. Xx

I’m sorry to hear your result. I received a negative result on a Friday and my bleed started on the Monday. It’s been 3/4 days on all my previous failed cycles too. X

Ahh so sorry for you too xx its just so cruel we have to go through all this - especially when we have to pay for it too, and yet with other people it just happens! Just wears you down emotionally and physically! Just' makes us stronger people i guess (although i dont feel like it at all) Honestly wonder sometimes what else you can possibly do!!

Sending love too & keep going strong onexxx
