Progesterone levels

Hello wonderful people!

I am 8dp5dt - I have not tested yet but I am freaking out 🤯🤯🤯 I had a few cramps on day 5 and 6 and was exhausted but then… NOTHING! All symptoms disappeared.

I am currently taking progesterone pessaries and intramuscular (every other day) and I was wondering… how often did your clinic check your progesterone levels after transfer? I got my levels checked on the transfer day and everything was fine but that was it.

I know I should trust the clinic but it’s sooo hard surviving this TWW 😣😣😣😣

I’ve never had my progesterone levels checked (in 4 transfers). My clinic don’t believe in it, because your levels can fluctuate so much during the course of the day. 🤷🏻‍♀️ unless you’re spotting, I wouldn’t worry about your levels - especially if they were checked on transfer day. Unless you’ve had issues with low levels before, there’s no reason to think they’d be low now. I’m impressed you haven’t tested yet - well done! Good luck for when you do! 🤞✨

Hi Luce. The cramp could just be your womb settling back down after manipulation. No need to be looking for symptoms yet. Good luck. Diane

Don’t stress about symptoms, if you don’t have bleeding (even if you have spotting they are not worried- that’s what i saw on discharge papers after transfer) it is probably all all right. They checked my progesterone levels one day before transfer, to see if I need additional progesterone and it was ok so no supplementation needed. I asked for progesterone with second beta (nurse said that doesn’t say much because progesterone levels can vary throughout the day) because after two early miscarriages I’m obsessed with everything (I’m crazy I know) and they are great for 5,6 weeks (I am 5+2 today), but it’s not regular check. They want to see beta doubles in 48 hours and that’s good enough for them. If there is no spotting or bleeding I don’t think they check progesterone at all (after transfer). When is your OTD? I was anxious and tested 5dpt (and then I was worried that it might be trigger so had to test every day till day 8 when line was obviously stronger) 😅 my OTD was 14 dpt (blood test)

first of all, CONGRATS! 💗

Secondly, thanks for responding to my post and making me feel better. No bleeding or spotting (so far!!!)

Test day is Monday - safe to say I won’t have a very relaxing weekend 😅 I really wanted to test today but I didn’t have the courage to do so. I wish you all the best for your pregnancy and send you love and positive energy 💗

I bleed early on 3 of my 7 cycles. The first 3. I pushed and pushed for testing. I had it tested on day of transfer and then 3 days later.

Your levels can be v different between fresh and frozen. Fresh on day of transfer was 190. Frozen on day of transfer was 22!! It’s because in a frozen your body makes no progesterone.

However if you’re not spotting or bleeding early you should be fine.
