Medicated FET - success stories :)

Hi all

Has anyone has success with a medicated FET? I am having medicated to ensure lining is good and progesterone levels, also due to age my cycle is regular within 1-2 days but doesn't last long. Also, as most will know clinic's seem (well mine does) as medicated cycle for better monitoring and less cancellations due to ovulation at the wrong time.

I have been fine on medicated cycle and happy to proceed but as many might know you get the wobbles when about to start and as we only have 2 frozen to try I want to be sure and have some positive stories as I hear a lot of 'just do a natural cycle' We have been trying for over 8 years and this is the 1st FET, our fresh resulted in BFN.

thank you for reading

Hi,

I had a medicated cycle and hopefully have a success story in progress, I'm 10 weeks. This was my first FET after 2 fresh transfers that didn't implant. There is SO MUCH goes through your mind and you do start to question whether a different treatment would be better for you but I've just tried to put my trust in the clinic as much as possible.

I hope it works for you! 😊

Thank you and congrats on 10 weeks :) this is 1st FET after 3 fresh (and big gap in between).

I’ve had two medicated fet cycles and both resulted in pregnancy. I’ve had pcos so having a medicated fet did all the hormone bit for me and i think this is why my body responded well. Having a medicated cycle meant I didn’t have to rely on my own body to ovulate or produce progesterone (im convinced low progesterone was the reason my second cycle failed).

I found having a fet really easy compared to fresh. Take tablets, have scan, have embryo transfered… Much easier and less traumatic. I don’t think a natural transfer would have much difference to how your body responds and a medicated cycle takes away some of the uncertainty of the process.

Best of luck for your transfer.

Yes, i'm convinced my body doesn't produce enough progesterone as even on the fresh levels didn't seem that high. Also, ERA shown i need extra day of progesterone.

Given my body doesn't seem to produce what I think it needs naturally this is my thinking also :) my mock cycle was all ok and no issues.

Thank you and congrats on your success.

I had a medicated FET, or maybe it's called a modified FET as started from natural period but then add oestrogen and progesterone. Anyway, that worked and I have a one year from that. Two fresh transfers before her ended in early losses and one after in a non-viable pregnancy, so I'm definitely going for medicated FET again this time. It seemed so much gentler and more controlled and I just don't think my body is in a good state after a collection. I think you'll worry and wobble no matter what you do though. 🤞

Hi, I'm 20 weeks pregnant today following a FET in March supplemented with progesterone injections, pessaries, tablets which I took until 12 weeks pregnant. Before that I had 2 fresh transfers which didn't take so the medicated FET seems to prep the body better. We also only had 2 frosties. With this one having taken we still have one left over for future should we ever decide to use it. Best of luck with your cycle :-)

Thank you, i am going to ask about extra progesterone this time as mine was a little low. I just hope that our frostie thaws well 🤞 Congratulations and all the best x
