We had an appointment with our consultant to discuss our failed fresh transfer and the next steps (we still have 2 in the freezer). He discussed an endometrial scratch and tweaking medications etc for the FET....we feel that we will try anything to make it different this time around.I know there is no concrete evidence to say that a scratch improves chances, but I just wondered if anyone has had one with a positive outcome??
Thank you x

Yes! Well for me anyway. I truly believe my body treated the embryo as if it shouldn't have been there without intervention of the scratch or embryogen. Good luck xx
Thank you! Thats amazing....I am willing to give anything a go, although I understand that nothing is 100% guaranteed, its reassuring to know that people are having positive results xx
The theory is that this procedure triggers the body to repair the site of the scratch ,releasing chemicals and hormones that may make the womb lining more receptive to an embryo implanting
I had a scratch on all 4 of my FET - all resulted in implantation - although 2 were ectopic pregnancies, the other 2 were successful pregnancies. I’m not sure if it was the scratch that made the difference or a combination of treatments (also used embryo glue and had acupuncture).
I know there are a lot of add on treatments with limited evidence base but my thought was always that it wasn’t going to have a detrimental effect on my treatment so was worth a try. Good luck with your next transfer. X
Thank you for sharing! Our clinic uses embryo glue as standard for all patients (apparently) so we are hoping that if we add in the scratch this time, we may have more chance of it sticking!
Just a bit soul destroying when the consultant tells you he's not sure why it didn't work the first time! Anyway, it just wasn't meant to be the first time, and we are very lucky that we have a 4AA and 4BA still to try! xx
