So I’ve just had my follow up consultation and even the consultant was confused why our first round didn’t work. Even found out we had a 4AA put back it which i wasn’t aware of!
Assuming it’s an implantation issue, so i asked about my autoimmune and if this may be effecting it and have been offered an endometrial scratch. I was informed the body will focus on fixing the scratch and makes the uterus stickier, hopefully better for implantation.
Does anyone have experience with this and how did it go? ☺️

Hi Mlove. This is often offered to women who have had two unsuccessful IVF cycles, but can be offered during any cycle, depending upon your consultant’s recommendations. New research and evidence suggests that scratching the uterine lining causes a ‘repair reaction’ which may increase embryo implantation rates. There have also been studies that show it also promotes uterine stem cells to develop. More research is underway to understand exactly how this works, so for now, I would be best guided by your specialist. Perhaps mention using low dose aspirin or heparin to ensure good blood flow to the womb and lining, and hopefully prevent any clot formation. Good luck! Diane
I had my daughter after an endometrial scratch on my 3rd transfer. Trying for baby 2 now and my old consultant told me they didn’t do scratches anymore, so after 3 more transfers which were chemical I tried Embyogen. Which turned out to be Ectopic. Changed consultants and found out they do scratches after all! Really angry about not being told the truth in the beginning. I’m having a scratch next month before my final transfer. I wish I’d had it 2 years ago when I started the whole process again. It is painful though. Dose up on paracetamol a couple of days before xx
Thank you for responding! It’s great to hear a success story about this. I hope your next one goes ok, I shall dose up on the paracetamol as advised! ☺️
if its free, I'd go for it. We opted for embryo glue at an extra cost and got two bfps with our frozen transfers. We didn't use anything for our first frdh transfer and got a bfp but early loss xx
sorry for your losses, but also congratulations on your bfps!
It isn’t free but they have agreed to add it to our treatment plan at our own cost which we’ve said we would like to do, it isn’t too much so definitely worth it! Thank you for replying💕
