endometrial scratch

Hi everyone, I had my endometrial scratch last Tuesday, all went well. I’m on day 29 of my cycle and been getting dull cramps for the past two days. I don’t usually have period cramps (very light) and not felt like this before. It’s very uncomfortable and I’ve not really been able to sleep. Anyone experience anything similar after a scratch. Also does the scratch delay your period? I normally start my period on day 28/29 so I know I’m due to start anytime soon but no sign after so much cramping. I just hope this does not delay my IVF cycle as I’m waiting for day 1 to get started..

Hello , good luck with your scratch, I don’t think it should cause any delay . I should start anytime now so not really late yet. Xx

Hi - my scratch felt uncomfortable for a few days (although I get crampy periods), and it didn't delay my period. I hope yours comes soon, the wait for day 1 is stressful!

Hey, thanks. I do hope is starts soon, not had cramps like this before period and I was fine last week after the scratch, ( not much cramping) I think it’s because I’m due to start and also the scratch added to the mix xx

Jb124 when you think you gonna have your next transfer and which one it's gonna be for you. It's gonna be my third attempt with one tested healthy embryo.

Hey Honey328. It’s my Secound round of IVF and will be forth transfer. In my first IVF (December 2022) I had 3 good quality day 5 embryos (not tested) all BFN. I will be on a short protocol this time round therefore if my period starts anytime time now, I’m looking to have egg retrieval around 02 October and transfer 3 or 5 day after. I’m hoping it does work this time round. My first round was funded by NHS and it felt like they just wanted get all transfer done and that’s it, therefore no changes or suggestions were made on each transfer. This time round, I’ve gone for the scratch and some medication changes has taken place too so let’s see now x Are you on your first round? All the best with your third transer too

Hi Honey328, sorry to hear you had a painful experience. It is so tough the things we go through in this IVF journey. Well done for getting through this x try to take it easy for the rest of the day xx I had my baseline scan today to start my cycle but they saw a cyst on my right ovary so cycle cancelled and I will have to wait till next month! It’s so frustrating especially having the scratch in line with your first cycle. My consultant said the scratch will last for 3 months but will do one for free if it really bothers me. I did say if next month gets cancelled then I will take that offer! This month has been stressful, the nurse told us on the injection lesson that they look fully booked for scan appointments therefore depending when I start my day 1 they may not have availability, meaning I will start my IVF on my next cycle. I’m trying to stay positive, hopefully we will try naturally this month thinking the “scratch” is there.. never know all these disappointment about cancellation might be a sign.. we may get a miracle :D (if so need to look into my refund policy :D) a bit too hopeful, who knows. Will message you x

Injection lesson that's so funny , in my clinic they sent to me literally link on YouTube how to do inject yourself. To be honest it's really easy and not painful. It's good that they already found a cyst one problem less but it's sad that everything will start later. I tried naturally during summer time , but no definitely no miracle. Anyway let me know I can always send you a link. Have a good rest of the day.
