ERA test - non receptive

Hi

I had the ERA trio test last Wed and waiting for the result to come back. Has anyone had their ERA result come back as 'non receptive' and what did you need to do? Repeat the test? It is SO expensive so I am dreading a non receptive result.

I only know one lady personally that has done this and they discovered she needed another 24hours on progesterone before transfer so instead of the standard 5, it was 6. I havent had the test myself but my consultant decided to switch my timing of having 6 days of progesterone and got BFP although they didnt stay. Fingers crossed it give you useful information, good luck.xx

I had ERA trio last month. It showed I needed 12 hours extra progesterone. It Also showed I had low levels of good bacteria so need to do vaginal probiotics. I'll be doing my next FET along with clexane on Tuesday. Hopefully the ERA/probiotics and clexane is the answer. I had a chemical of a pgs normal embryo the cycle before this so who knows wrong with me!

Just an update on my ERA test. The results came back yesterday and I am pre-receptive so should have my transfer later. I have started to prepare for my next FET. I will take steroids and clexane. Hopefully this is the answer!

Great that your era results show you need to do something different. How many hours in total do you get to have before you transfer? How many hours do you have to delay it by?

Mine says I need 171 hours. I need to delay transfer by 12 hours. So basically instead of triggering at 9pm I'll trigger at 9am the same day...is yours similar?

Yes, definitely! I need to delay it by 24h. I need 155h between start of progesterone and transfer. I am doing medicated HRT cycles so won't be triggering. Are you doing natural cycles?

Yes semi natural in that I don't use medication until I'm about to ovulate. Then I trigger so we can pin point exact timing of LH surge then start progesterone a few days later. Transfer is on the morning of my fifth day of progesterone. Man I hope my Dr knows what he is doing with the timing. It's all so confusing.

I had to cancel my FET today because I ovulated naturally before I could trigger so safer to wait till next round than misjudge timings and waste a precious pgs normal embryo. When is yours going to be?

How frustrating for you that you needed to cancel the FET. Definitely better to wait and do it with correct timings. We just have to rely on the clinic here but I am too concerned that they know or don't know what they are doing. This test is so new!

AFM - All being well (ok lining) they might start me on progesterone around 8 Nov so 155h after that.

The purpose of the ERA test is to determine the timing of the transfer, as in when the level of progesterone is sufficient to ensure the embryo sticks. I had mine done and it gave the number of hours of progesterone programming needed. Turned out my transfers were failing because they were putting those litte ones in way too early! With the info from the ERA, we found out the right timing and it worked.

So happy to hear it worked for you! xx

I had an ERA and it showed I needed an extra day of progesterone. I wish I had it done earlier. Based on the results we had a further cycle as we had used all the embryos we had. If it was normal I wouldn’t have gone through it all again, but we had to try. The first transfer following the result was unsuccessful...we are just starting the treatment for our 7th transfer but the 2nd one using the results from the ERA... all I can do is hope xx

We are using our last donor embryo from this round. That's the main reason my consultant suggested the ERA as we have really good embryos and it's the last one. I'm waiting for AF to arrive to be able to start the nasal spray and then await the ERA result. Best of luck! I hope your next transfer will be the one! xx
