Has anybody had an endometrial receptivity (ERA) test when having ivf? My clinic have suggested it due to reccurant implantation failure.
I would like to hear about people's experiences of this please.
Thanks x

Hello hun, I had the ERA test after 5 failed transfers (7 embryos). I did the ERA during a natural modified mock FET cycle, the ERA result was receptive, so I replicated the cycle exactly on my next transfer (the following month), and that transfer was successful. I believe the ERA also acts as an endometrial scratch, which I had also been recommended. I will say though that my successful FET was also the first transfer where I used steroids (after uterine natural killer cell testing) and honestly I think this was the major reason I was successful this time. But I'm also really glad I did the ERA, to be as certain as possible I was transferring at the right time.
Ahhh congratulations!! That is amaz8ng news!!!I already take the steroids so I'm hoping the ERA will tell us something new really.
I thought I had worked out exactly how much my ivf was going to cost so an era test has come as a bit of a shock to us really haha! But sounds like it's a test worth having x
This has also been advised for us. Can I ask how much it is as we have no financial guidance on this yet? X
Mine was about £1,000, plus any medication I needed for the mock cycle (which for me wasn't a great deal as I was doing a natural modified cycle, so just trigger and progesterone). Although I was paying privately my clinic are NHS, so I think in IVF terms they're quite reasonable price wise (it's not often in life I've described 1,000 as a good price!).
I had the ERA test after 4 failed FETs and it came back pre-receptive by 24 hours.
So we moved the be transfer to that timing and unfortunately it still didn’t work.
But the next one we used the new timing in conjunction with steroids and it was successful.
So I think it was the combination that worked fit me
