Hi all lovely ladies, I need advice. I went in for a scan on cd10 and they found 3 small follicles. Lining was at 6.9mm. Uterus and everything else look good. I'm just worried about small follicles sizing from 4.6mm,2.4mm and 2.6mm.What can I do to increase the size?
I'm taking oestrogen and progesterone. Worried I will not be eligible for ivf or iui.
Any advice much appreciated x

hi can I just check you aren’t on stims at all? Is it a monitoring cycle or natural cycle? What did the clinic say about the follicle size at that point? I’d you aren’t stimming they would be looking for a lead follicle to start developing in the next week is my understanding but defo best to check with you clinic xx
Hi thank you for replying. I just went in for a scan to check follicles, she said they are small. I'm taking supplements. What would you advise? If I go to fertility clinic and do stims will they start to grow x
so things can be really different on an IVF cycle than your usual cycle (they use stims to grow your follicles in IVF) so I don’t think this would be any reason for you not to have IVF in the future. it sounds like they are monitoring you to understand what’s happening, perhaps to look at best course of action? Or are they trying to help you conceive through intercourse? Either way it’s probably best to have a chat with someone at your clinic about what it means and next steps xx
Also I'm taking oestrogen and progesterone otherwise I will not get a period as they said I'm in menopause even though I don't have any symptoms of menopause apart from absent periods.
Ah I see, you won’t know until you ask them really, do you know your AMH? In IVF they can take over your cycle so I know for some people peri menopausal or in menopause they sometimes can still help. You might want to have a discussion with a clinic or maybe even a couple of them to see your options sooner rather than later though xx Yea we have done IvF for our son and now trying for a sibling via IVF, wishing you lots of luck xx
Sorry to butt in. I totally agree with Twiglet2 you need to speak to your / a fertility clinic sooner rather than later. Do not allow fear to prevent you from seeking professional advice. Even if they reject you it is better to know your situation and options. My opinion is to book in for a consultation ASAP x
I’ve worked with 3 ivf doctors (long story), I’m 42, and no one ever checked the size of my follicles on day 10 of a natural, non-stims cycle to determine my eligibility for IVF. I’m not sure how they could be connected…
Hi many thanks for your reply. At the moment I'm not with a ivf clinic. I just went to a pregnancy scan clinic to do a antrafollicles scan and they said best time to come is between cd10 to cd16.
