3rd scan, follicles still too small

So it's day 10 of stimulation and I've been told my eggs aren't ready for collection Friday but will be Monday instead. Follicles are currently around 13-15mm. Has it took anybody else this long?

Hi ashlou86. It's always an anxious time going for that first scan. However, it can take 14 days for your follicles to mature enough to have your trigger shot, sometimes a few days longer. Just a few more mm's to go. Good luck with it all, and I do hope next scan will be fine. Diane

Hi, yep I was on stims for 10 day protocol and then come my final scan, they still weren't big enough.....I was devastated, and felt that my body wasn't working properly.....additional doses later 4 to be exact, and the use of a growth hormone zomacton 2 to 3 times, the additional scan finally showed the follicles were big enough. Hang in there honey, they will get bigger and don't be hard on yourself....every journey is different. I have my ec tomorrow morning!

They've increased my bemfola dose from 225 to 300 so hopefully I'll be ready for collection Monday!

I'm not familiar with bemfola but your clinic will know exactly what they are doing

Yes i took 16 days to stimulate to collection point, so hang on in there & it's amazing how they grow!! From that I got 10 eggs & whilst our first fresh transfer of a blastocyst didn't work (bfn 😕) we have another 3 frozen!!

Sometimes it just takes some ladies a bit longer, I remember panicking at this stage as well but please try not to!
