Day 8 scan small follicles?

Hope everyone is doing as well as can be today.

I had my day 8 scan.

As background I’ve had FSH 450 units for 3 previous stims and only had around 4 decent follicles and triggered day 10, and low number of eggs retrieved (though a good blastocyst rate).

This time we are trying oestrogen priming and Pergoveris highest dose.

My scan has shown more follicles but they are generally smaller. So left ovary I have 1x 12.5mm, 2x 9.8mm, and then 7 x between around 6.5-8.5mm. Also a couple of really tiddly 3-4mm.

My lining was 6mm which I’m okay with as I’ve only ever got it to 6.5mm anyway with previous stims.

I’m worried the follicles seem small at this stage. Any hope? Being rescanned on day 10 now. Nervous xx

Thanks Janet. I am eating lots of protein, drinking beetroot, doing yoga, going for walks and everything I can think of! Thanks for your good wishes

Hello! How did your day 10 scan go?

I was measuring small at my day 7 scan… they upped my dose of gonal f to hopefully help. Have another scan tomorrow to see how we are getting on. I think they will delay collection date x

They were still growing so I was stimmed to day 13 which is longest I’ve ever had and they grew to good sizes (most 18-19mm). Just had retrieval and had very good rate of eggs from follicles (7 eggs from 7 follicles over 13mm) and now had report this morning that 6 of 7 eggs fertilised. Best of luck for your next scan x
