I read a post like this about 10 months ago and it gave me the kick up the bum I needed to change clinics and has lead to our first IVF BFP after 6 full rounds. So this is me attempting to maybe pay it forward.
When you are faced by failure, round after round it can literally be soul destroying. After our 5th round (not even making it to a transfer after removing 17 eggs) we were at rock bottom. What technically should have been a simple process (as I donโt have Fallopian tubes but no other issues) had turned into an absolute shit show which now I believe more than ever to be down to our clinic and Consultant. After many complaints & a review with the leading consultant we were told that we had 15% chance per egg transfer (if we were lucky) and that for some people IVF just doesnโt work and we probably fell in that category.
I just wasnโt willing to accept that, I could see so many errors in each round & I pushed for progesterone testing, possible steroids, using aspirin but they just werenโt interested. So, after reading a post where a lovely fellow warrior had moved clinics on her 6th round and fallen pregnant first try I took her advice and contacted her new clinic.
The comparison between the 2 clinics is literally chalk and cheese. We paid for all IVF but it was like going from a poorly funded nhs clinic to a 5* IVF intense bootcamp. No stone is left unturned you are tested for EVERYTHING, I have had more blood tests in this round than in 5 at the old clinic. It feels like they WANT to get you pregnant and honestly, it was such a breath of fresh air.ย
So here I am, cautiously Pregnant ๐ฅน saying to anyone going through this, we are not doctors but we know our bodies and you must advocate for yourself in this process. We are all warriors and we all deserve a miracle ๐ซ Baby dust to everyone on here xxย ๐

Lovely story, congratulations. What made the difference medically wise on this cycle do you think? Please could you PM me the name of the clinic? - I'm in a similar position, not knowing whether to stick or change after 4 cycles this yr!
Ooo wow congratulations. I am in the 2WW which I haven't got to before. Feeling very grateful but if it doesnt work I would be interested in the clinic name please. I have also been told this just may not happen for me. I have tried long and short protocol and now they are saying you are just a poor responder and should consider embryo donation. I just feel it in my heart that can't be true, so would look to move clinics next time. Thanks
such HUGE congratulations ๐ฅณ out of curiosity please could you PM me the clinic you went to first and then the one you changed to? I have friends struggling so would like to check. And all the best ๐ค for all the scans ahead and any other qs throw them to me x
Amazing, what a beautiful outcome. Persistence and having faith is such a strong thing to do. Did the new clinic also put you on medication this time? What new things did you learn about your fertility that could have impacted your chances of success? Please PM the name of the clinic x
Yes I was on all new medication this time round. I think the major part of success for me was the focus on the drugs and monitoring after the embryo transfer which I had never had b4 x
Congratulations and so lovely to read. Hope and being listened to is everything in this journey! If you donโt mind could you PM me the name of your clinic and let me know what tests you had and any medical changes on this cycle to previous please? ๐
Congratulations - that's great news. I would be grateful for a PM with name of clinic. I am at crossroads after 5 rounds... another round or DEs. Thanks!
It's really uplifting to hear your story. I'm feeling very disheartened by my current clinic as to any of my questions asking them are there other tests they just say no. I'd be very grateful if you could PM me your previous clinic and the new clinic you've moved to. Merry Christmas!
what a journey you have had. So pleased you are in a good place after all you have been through.x All the best for the pregnancy going forward.x
thank you so much for sharing your positive story. Itโs really important to hear them. I am very new to this forum and this is my first interaction on it. I am in the 2ww currently on my third attempt. Have also been considering alternative clinics. I would really appreciate it if you could send me the name of the clinic you changed to? Many congratulations on your positive test and praying for all to go well for you. Take care. ๐
I had a mini op on day 2 to check for no cysts, endo or scar tissue and they did a scratch (never had this b4)ย
But I think the biggest difference for me is the after transfer drugs and monitoring. Iโm on blood thinner injections, aspirin, cyclogest, a progesterone injection and a steroid tablet. All of which is being monitored and adjusted every other day x
hi, would be really interested in the name of the clinic, three failed rounds here and struggling to know where to go from hereโฆ if you could PM me I would be grateful x
Amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing. It gives so much hope to so many people like me. I wish you all the very best, a beautiful pregnancy and a priceless motherhood.
If you can kindly om me the clinic name, I would be ver grateful โฅ๏ธ
Massive Congratulations! Your story has given me strength to keep pushing. Thanks for sharing. All the best with your pregnancy journey. Please can you PM me the name of your clinic. Happy New Year!
