Experience with short cycle (antagonist)? Waiting afterwards?

Hello,

I’m going for short cycle - start my ovaleap injections this weekend. I’m so nervous! I’ve been told I will have to wait till my next cycle though for embryo transfer for my body to recover. Has anyone else experienced this? How long was the withdrawal bleed afterwards? Was your cycle delayed?

Hey. I think this is fairly common if they think you’re gonna produce a lot of eggs as they want to reduce the risk of OHSS. We had our egg collection at the end of November, with transfer at the end of March. Withdrawal bleed usually happens about 5 days after egg collection. I know it feels frustrating to have to wait post transfer, but I think for me it gave my body a chance to recover and prepare for transfer. Good luck for your cycle!
