So they told me to ring on my next period which will be this weekend. Does anyone know what this protocol involves and time frames? X

Hello,

Most of the time they will give you a grace period of 2 - 3 days as, like in your case, if you come on over the weekend not much can be done. Maybe phone them and leave a message when you come on and then phone again Monday morning xx

I just did the short protocol. When I rang for my next period, they gave me norethisterone tablets to delay my next period. They told me to stop taking them about 4 days beofee my baseline scan. Period came the day of the scan and I started stimms the next day (tues) was on those injections until the trigger shot which was 12 days later. I also added Cetrotide 5 days into stimms (thats to prevent ovulation) and that continue until trigger shot as well. Took the trigger Saturday night and egg collection was today (I'm just recovering). So all in all quite a short process and inline with a natural cycle and only 12 days of injections. Although depending on how you respond it could be a bit shorter or longer.

Good luck!!

Hi Lauren, you’ll have your baseline scan a day or two after your period starts, and you will start your first injection, then about day 6 you will go for another scan, and start having them every other day for around a week, and you’ll start the next injection, then once they feel you’re stimulated enough they’ll book in egg collection, then transfer 3-5 days later and lastly the 2ww. It works roughly with your cycle so should be done in 28-30 days xx

Oh no not at all, your clinic should be open anyway, so just give them a buzz, and drop them an email. I would just presume that your first scan will be Monday, exciting times ahead! Xx
