Hi just wanted to know if anyone has had more than one cycle - how long have you had to wait to start the treatment again. I know I haven't yet tested but I just think this journey will not be bringing me any joy 😔 thank you x

Hi there - my Dr said that you need to have one month gap between cycles at least and re-start when you are emotionally ready. I've only had one cycle so far and our ET was unsuccessful. I am due to have FET before Xmas and possibly one last fresh cycle in the new year.

Hi

I have had a failed ivf in July, my clinic said I could go again after my cycle went back to normal, which it did straight away. They did advise me to take additional tablets/supplements though so I have put my next round on hold until they can make an impact. I am also not emotionally ready yet! I have seen people who say their clinic made them wait 3 months for another go.

Thank you Em ... So they they put you on treatment even before you start the IVF treatment xx

It's because the feedback I got from my failed cycle was poor egg quality. It was suggested I try DHEA and CoQ10 to try and improve quality. The clinic says that results of DHEA peak at 4 months, so I am leaving it as long as I can before going back.

Hi Sorry to hear about ur failed cycle, I had a failed cycle last month and was told by the nurse I could start ASAP but it transpires I can’t and have to start back at square 1 by meeting the dr to discuss a different form of treatment and my appointment isn’t till January 😔

Hey Sara thank you for letting me know why would thru go right back to the beginning its that what most clinics do x

I’m not sure Hun they all seem to have different rules from what I’ve read on here. I’m in Manchester, I guess they just need to decide a different form of treatment for me due to the last one not working - this will be my second and final cycle on the nhs

Hi,

I had to have a follow up appointment with my dr after my failed cycle, just to go through the cycle and what had happened and how it went. Because I responded better than expected to the drugs, I had 19 eggs collected, now they are changing my medication and the appointment was to discuss things like that. I had to wait a month for that appointment.

Hi Em, thank you for letting me know have spoken to the clinic this morning and they have said its normally two cycles so could try again in the new year. I really would like to know why the treatment didn't work as I had 14 eggs collected so quite a big number too.

Mine was 6 weeks for review appointment and at least one cycle to get your body back to normal. After out chemical pregnancy we went in for the review and it just so happened our dates worked so started treatment that day. X

That's very good news ... I will be calling the clinic tomorrow to see what they say to me and I guess I will have to go from there x

All clinics differ. Mine says two cycles my friends says three. Personally I think at least two cycles to give your body a chance to get back to normal. My body is still a little all over the place since my treatment in august.
