G-CSF - anyone tried it?

Hi,

I'm just back from Cyprus and am now on day 4 of the 2 week wait. For anyone who doesn't know, North Cyprus do a lot of experimental treatments, a lot of which you can't get in the UK. I came out here to do cytoplasmic transfer back in February. The first transfer didn't work and this is my second, with my last 2 blastocysts.

I had a pre transfer appointment on Tuesday and the doctor said it looks like I have an implantation problem and should do Endometrium PRP, but didn't explain it. He said tell me tomorrow morning, so I stressed myself out researching it that night and all research suggested that it needed to be done at least 2 days in advance. I mentioned this in the morning when I was asked if I wanted it and they came back to say yes that's right, no point doing it. 🤦‍♀️

Then, I turned up for transfer and the doctor called me in to say, I should try G-CSF. I'd never heard of it and had to make a decision on the spot. It costs €500 for 1 injection. In the end I negotiated a discount and took it, but still don't really understand what it's going to do for me. Has anyone else tried it?

I think this is it for me if this doesn't work. This clinic has finished me off. They told me to stop taking prednisolone, so I challenged it and they said oh yes carry on. There was a mix up with progesterone dose, and so I'm now on 2 daily injections plus the tabs to make up for low levels. They're just massively disorganised. Choice of clinic makes all the difference.

Hi, please could you pm me with the clinic too? I’m currently in north Cyprus mid treatment, transfer hopefully Wednesday. I’ve had no issues with my clinic but always interesting to hear other opinions and experiences if it’s the same clinic. I had wondered about cytoplasmic transfer- have you noticed an improvement in your results? If my embryos are rubbish again I’m thinking it about it for next time.. x

Hi, I didn't notice a difference at first, but after thawing one of the compacted ones became a blastocyst and they said it was good quality.

Thank you, I'm happy for you. I am ok trying to face my exam this week, annual leave for 2 weeks and go for 10 weeks work placement. Yes we will go back again from September. I look around but my hubby said is better to go back there again because all the treatment we can not get it any where for that price; I did look around Europe and can not get it anywhere at that price with PGS.
