I have had one donor egg cycle which resulted in an early miscarriage. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any frozen embryos. My husband and I were aiming to do my a second cycle in April but an ultrasound have revealed some complications with my uterus. The cycle has been cancelled and I am looking into having a hysteroscopy. Has anyone had an experience of having one? Has it been beneficial in your fertility journey? I have contacted on private clinic and I have to wait for 6 months before they can do it.

Hysteroscopy
Yes, had one to remove a small polyp and was successful afterwards. Good luck x
Did you have to wait long for the procedure?
Quite a while yes, but it was during covid. On the first attempt the Dr missed seeing the polyp and so it wasn't removed. When it was detected again, I waited from January until September. It was the NHS though. I've seen them offered for £5k or only 1.5k privately. I'd advise you try to get a ETA as the wait was the hardest bit. I had a transfer whilst waiting, but it didn't work that time unfortunately x
I am going to try and find a private clinic with a shorter wait. More money but I am in my 40s so I am so aware of time ticking by. I may even look at travelling abroad. I am experiencing discomfort in my tummy and am experiencing have some odd bleeding. I also have a suspected polyp. I suppose it needs liking at regardless of my fertility journey. Thank you for you help.
I've had two hysteroscopies and didn't have to wait long to book either of them in as they were through my private clinic. I'd definitely recommend asking around and seeing who can fit you in (and for what £). I understand not wanting to wait and it sounds like it's something that would be really beneficial for you. Best of luck xx
Were they painful? I have heard some nightmare stories
