It's been a while but I'm finally back and going for attempt 2 and FET 2.
If I'm completely honest the treatment from the clinic this time around has been a bit poor. I've been missed off lists for phone calls, not been sent forms to complete in time and now the icing on the cake is due to a "technical issue" my medication wasn't processed so cannot be delivered until Monday.
I finish my 2 week course of norethisterone tomorrow and could be on CD1 anywhere from 7th March - 9th March going off previous experience. I contacted the clinic last week to say no one had been in touch about my meds being delivered for CD1 and I was informed they would be here today. I explained I go away early Saturday 5th March (tomorrow) and am not back until late Monday 7th March so I need the medication before we go away for the weekend to which I was told no problem.
I contacted the clinic this morning because I hadn't heard anything to be told by the admin "the computers went down over the last 2 days so it wasn't processed". I explained my situation again to be told that "it should be alright to start the medication late".
This time around I am starting the Oestrodail 100mg patch changed every other day opposed to the Prognova because last time by body didn't agree with it.
Just incase my CD1 does come Monday morning I wanted to check if anyone else has started there meds later on in the day and it been okay?
Many thanks in advance

Hi lovely, sorry to hear it's been a bit of a mess so far.
If it helps, I've definitely had cycles where things have been a bit vague and all over the place.
I had one cycle where they told me on the phone to start the medication on CD2, then when I saw the consultant on CD4 she said - "so you started on CD1 yes?" I just said yes, because I couldn't be bothered to stress myself out and there was nothing I could do about it. It made no difference and the transfer went ahead with no other hiccups.
I think everyone's cycles are so different that there has to be some margin of error - so if they say it's ok to start it later then I would trust them.
We're so conditioned in to thinking that IVF is an exact science and everything must be just so, but I don't think this is the case (except with a trigger).
Thank you, that made me feel a bit better. I think because the whole process is soo stressful any little thing can seem soo big. No offence to the admin but I would prefer to be told off someone medical that "it should be alright". I was told I would get a phone call "shortly" after I rung this morning to confirm if the meds will be delivered on Monday but if I don't hear any by 1pm I'll phone them again... I'm not very hopeful that I will hear anything but you never know 😂😂. Thanks again 💕
I completely agree with Millbanks, I think you’ll be fine to start later in the day.
I’ve always been told to start Progynova on first day of full flow which I think everyone interprets a bit differently so can actually be day 1 or day 2. Sending you lots of luck for your transfer xx
Thank you. I do feel much better now and actually thinking about it because my lining is always super thick starting a day later might be beneficial anyway. I know after all this my period probably won't arrive until the end of the week sods law.
Thanks again I appreciate all of your reassurance 🥰
