Tested positive on Day 10 then the same day I started bleeding.

This was my first embryo transfer and I had a few symptoms such as cramping, back ache, sore boobs but they eventually went away the closer I got to day 10 test day which I thought was strange but I tried to not overthink it all. Day 10 arrives I test in the morning it says it’s positive, then late afternoon I start bleeding. It was very light so thought it could be some spotting which would have been a normal so I thought nothing of it. Then today I tested again it still saying positive but the flow is heavier and darker and the cramps are more painful than ever, I am super emotional and I just don’t know what to think. Is this a chemical pregnancy?

hi there, sorry this is an unsettling time for you. How dark is your positive line? Either way I’d recommend getting a beta hcg blood test and the doctors can tell you what the numbers suggest. Best of luck xx

This is my test from yesterday, I have spoken to my clinic and they have said to carry on with my medication and to do a pregnancy blood test tomorrow.

Have you tried to attach a picture of your test? I don’t see a photo here if so. I’m glad they’ll do a blood test for you, that’s sensible. Fingers crossed it’s a positive outcome xx

Could it still be the trigger? Hope you are ok. Given your bleeding/cramps etc i would probably expect the worse....and hope for the best. Sorry to be brutal but in my experience bleeding like that after a transfer is never good news. Wishing you all the luck x

Hi Ncagh. Just carry on with any medication, keep busy and test the first urine in the morning of the day recommended by your clinic. Sounds good. Diane - Partner
