Its been a very long time since I last posted on here but I wanted to come back and update my story and hopefully be able to help others in the same boat.
Quick back story for you, TTC for 4 years - found out hubby has azoospermia (no sperm present in his samples) he underwent surgical retrieval and we attempted ICSI with this. Unfortunately, this led to 2 x BFN's, a chemical pregnancy and two frosties. The two FET'S unfortunately, were also a bust - possibly even another chemical with one of them but we have no proof.
We decided to go ahead and use donor sperm, the process wasnt too bad it just took longer to arrange and get delivered to our clinic than we thought but we went ahead with IUI this time and we are very lucky that we are now 16 weeks pregnant (as of tomorrow!)
This isnt meant to be a gloating post, so please dont think thats why I have come back. I just want others to know that it does work and if anyone wants any advice on donor, please contact me
Lots of love and baby dust to all xxx

Thank you lovely - I hope its seen as a positive, it can happen. I had lots of dark times and thoughts that I would never be a mum but miracles happen!
I do often have days that I still pinch myself and cant quite believe its happening.
Many congratulations to you, so lovely to hear that you got there in the end. Although the journey must have been incredibly hard!
Can I ask, did you have further genetic testing done on your husbands sperm before deciding to use donor? Or what made you decide that route in the end?
I have a very similar situation, husband has azoospermia, he had ssr and we had 5 vials. We have used 1, on our first round of icsi . .I had 10 eggs but only 1 fertilised and didnt make to transfer. I am about to start injections for our second round, last time funded on nhs, incredibly nervous the same will happen but trying hard to remain positive. We have not had any further testing done on his sperm at present. Last time the embryologist said that it all looked good eggs and sperm and nothing untoward, so bit baffling! Have been doing 10 million things I feel to help towards egg quality this time, keeping everything crossed. Thank you for sharing your story xx
Thanks hun - it was so hard and we had to make so many difficult decisions!!
We didnt have further testing, mostly because they said to us the sperm they found wasnt that great, we only had 3 vials and took a shot. It was really hard to decide to switch to donor especially as it had technically worked with hubbys sperm albeit ended in a chemical.
We just decided that we wanted to try the best shot and donor seemed to be the best route for us personally.
For me when we did go through the full rounds, I found the following really helpful for egg quality - I went from only 6 eggs collected without these vitamins etc to 13 and 10 being mature, it cant hurt but obviously I cant say it was definitely these. So, I took - royal jelly, b-complex, bee propolis, bee pollen and pregnacare.
Congratulations this has given me some hope. Having a really bad time at the moment. Found out my husband has high dna fragmentation, he has low count and poor everything else.
We are seeing a urologist tomorrow. I want to try donor in Cyprus as I've had 3 failed rounds and 2 failed iuis in the uk and it's now taken its toll on me. I may message you if that's ok for some advice when it comes to ordering ect and what's best mot?
