I was just wondering what everyone's views are on getting the scratch during IVF?
I'm also having treatment this time for NK cells. Did anyone have side effects from steroids and blood thinners?
Thanks 🙂

Hi I've had a scratch 3 times and it's never worked. The time I didn't have it which was 2.5 years later when I had a FET - I actually achieved pregnancy for the first time. I asked my consultant about it for my 4th cycle this time, and he said that it's fallen out of favour now. As for the NK, my consultant still recommends NK testing and treating.
I had it for my first cycle..embryo implanted eventually miscarried. My last 2 cycles I’ve not had it because I found it too painful and weighing up the evidence I don’t think it’s worth the extra cost. Xx
You could ask the clinic any questions about safety and risks of endometrial scratch- or could research it yourself on hfea.gov.uk treatment add-on - just enter endometrial scratch
Thinking of you

Hi lovely, I had a polyp removed which was also meant to act as a scratch when I had my transfer the following month - it had no affect at all. I never bothered with an actual scratch.
I had 5 FETs without steroids, then had my immune blood panel tested, found that I did have high NK cells, then did our 6th transfer with 20mg prednisolone and am now 33 weeks.
I didn't have any side affects except just being hungry all the time, but that didn't stop when I weaned off them!
xx
