Progesterone support with a fresh transfer

Hi all I was just wondering how long people took their progesterone support with a pregnancy resulting from a fresh embryo transfer. My clinic has told me (at 8 weeks viability scan) that I can now stop taking the supplements (lubion injections) and to just use up what I have left.

Am so nervous to stop taking them, I have gone down from twice daily to once daily so it lasts apart longer.

What did other people do?

Clinic knows best, I guess but I was told to continue taking until 12 weeks. I didn’t get to that point but I guess it depends on the type of progesterone and personal circumstances xx

Lots of clinics seem to have different opinions on this but I’d always trust what my doctor advises. I’m pregnant with twins and have to continue to take my progesterone (800mg) twice daily until I’m 24 weeks which seems like a long time. Most people seem to stop them between week 8 and 12.

I am still in 2ww and if it's positive in the OTD, my doctor advised to continue more 3 weeks only after test day!

Hi Ariel. You could wean off the progesterone any time after 8/40wks. Follow your clinic instructions. Your body should be making enough itself now. Good luck! Diane

Hi Ariel, I was nervous too but I stopped taking mine at 9 weeks and I actually felt better after a few days from not taking them.I am now 13 1/2weeks and had my 12 week scan last week and everything was fine and developing as it should do.
