I would just like to offer my support to anyone going through infertility and going through their journey to becoming parents.
I am not medically trained in any way at all I would like to point out. I can only offer my support from what I have experienced. You should always take concerns to a medically trained person.
That being said, I have gone through a fresh IVF cycle and a frozen cycle too and ICSI was used. Like lots of people on here also have. With being off work at the moment I just wanted to put it out there that I will always be here to help anyone going through issues with fertility. I am extremely lucky to now have a nine week old baby boy from our frozen cycle.
Much love to you all out there going through it- you’re doing amazingly well x

Firstly, congratulations on the birth of your baby boy 💜
Thank you so much for your kind and very thoughtful post. It amazes me the incredible generosity of women/people on here. Despite being a brand new Mum, I'm sure you have your hands full now you're still reaching out to offer your time to support others. Amazing 🥰 xx
Thanks for your lovely reply! Thank you I am extremely lucky to have him and I know how hard it can be to get to where we are and my journey hasn’t even been as long and as challenging as other people’s! I just don’t want people to be upset or finding it hard to cope with the emotional rollercoaster that comes at every point in infertility. The wonderful people on this forum helped me so much on my journey, it’s time to give back 💙
We’ve just started our journey and feel very lost with everything on hold. Lovely to know there are people who have been through this all who are happy to help x
Yes it did make me think that will all this going on that some peoples cycles will have been put in hold. I’m sorry you’re having to put up with that it must be really frustrating for you. Try to think of it differently and see it as extra time to prepare body and mind. Talk to your other half about what’s to come and use the time to meditate and get your body in tip top condition for your journey. If you need any support please let me know xx
How lovely of you, thank you, I hope you and your family are coping in the current crazy times. I'm 7 days post FET and very anxious for my test this Saturday, don't have any symptoms currently and trying not to overanalyse everything! Thanks again for the support.
We are all lucky to be at home thank goodness! Is that a fresh or frozen transfer you’ve had? I was anxious to do my test too I remember it very well! For the time I was pregnant I remember worrying because I didn’t have many symptoms and couldn’t tell you if I was pregnant or not and I thought I would have been able to tell! I know it’s so hard to not over analyse, especially with the current situation we are all in! Try to distract your mind I found that walking helped me and I enjoyed making Pom poms too! Try a hobbie or meditate, that works fab at settling me down x
Our fresh didn’t work unfortunately either but then frozen did. Have you found that frozen was less stress on your body? I found it a lot easier to cope with even though there are so many hormones to take still. Definitely try to relax as much as possible and be kind to yourself. Not all jobs need doing at once, just watch a favourite film and recognise it as time for you to relax and enjoy it 😊
Yes have found the frozen much less physically demanding than fresh. The progesterone still makes me quite swollen, but much better than last time - if anything now I want some symptoms - can’t win,ha!
Well hopefully I follow in your shoes, did you wait till the blood test to find out?
Yes that’s how I found it. I’m sorry to hear progesterone makes you swollen! I can’t remember my side effects I just remember having loads to take!
Fingers crossed!! I didn’t have a blood test in the end only a urine test. I was offered a blood test but our clinic was a good hour away and we couldn’t both be off work to go have one done (plus it wasn’t necessary for us). So I held on until my official test date and did a first response urine test. It was hard to wait until my test day but I made myself that time to avoid disappointment if it showed negative and I could have been positive. Always best to wait! No worries anytime 😊
Hi Hon! congratulations and thank you for you support. I had my 2nd ivf cycle which was very fortunately successful but my embryo are frozen. Is their any difference in getting frozen or fresh embryos back in you body.
Also i am quite worried as i heard(may be wrong or my bad thinking) that frozen embryos causes anomaly in child
