Grieving right now..

I had a FET which just came out negative, this is my 6th round of IVF. I had 4 cycles with my own eggs which resulted in negative until I went for Donor eggs twice which also resulted in negative.

I am 44 and only started at age 40, what we had was Male issues until it got to the Gyne telling me now my womb seems not to be receptive.

All scans were good as regarding my endometrium before the FET.

I am absolutely confused and grieving right now, all I want is to carry my own child. No blood yet 17dpt , sore boobs and just waiting for the period to come.

Has anyone had negative result which later turned positive, just wishing this turns to a miracle baby.

I am afraid I haven't had the negative turn to positive but I just wanted to send you an enormous hug. I am also 44 and have also done 6 fresh rounds but all with my own eggs. Just moving to donor. Some days the world just feels very very unfair and I am wishing a miracle for you xx

Really sorry to hear this. I’m also 44. Had 5 cycles with own eggs then one with donor. I had a chemical pregnancy with my own eggs and a miscarriage at 6 weeks with donor eggs. Frozen transfer in a week or so but I know exactly how you feel. So hard. I think there are some other tests you can have (although they are coded red on UK HFEA website) and they have worked for some others on here. Always know that you are not alone, and this is a great place for advice and support.

Ooh thank you and so sorry for the loss...I pray this sticks for you this time. Please can you tell me at what your age did you consider stop using your egg, and how was the protocol for the donor egg, what medication did you use?

I tried with own eggs from 41-44 then switched earlier this year, the protocol with donor was mock cycle then real cycle. This time don’t need mock as having frozen transfer. I can pm details of clinic if you would like. Lots of different medication including blood thinners and steroids.

Hope your negative will turn into positive. If you want to do a search on Google about Granulocyte IVF. Read about using these medications and maybe is something that you want to discuss with your doctor. It is just a suggestion, it has been proposed to me by my doctor but in the end we had steroids prescribed. "Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) seems to play an important role in the process of embryo implantation and continuation of pregnancy. It has been used during in vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment for subfertile women with chronically thin endometrium and those with previous multiple IVF failures."

I am so sorry to hear this. I have been through a similar journey, starting at 40 with years of terrible disappointment. However at 46 I gave birth to our beautiful son who is now 10 months. Donor eggs, Icsi and with the help of PRP treatment in Athens. My endometrium was shot and after years of trying to get it to grow, trying all treatments from around the world, this worked for me. I truly believe it was the PRP that made the difference. It was a total miracle. I do believe there is hope and I can pass on my wonderful consultants details and happy to chat if you would like to.
