Hello Hope. 5 is a good result. I will be keeping my fingers crossed so they all were mature and then fertilized. I wish you to achieve your pregnancy from the very first attempt.
My 0attempts had bad outcome and feelings are not good, you know. Don't want anybody to feel that. All my prayers for you dear. Waiting for your updates. Best of luck!
5 is amazing! Well done! Fingers crossed they all fertilise for you! I had 4follicles but only got 1 egg, but it fertilised and hoping to get transferred in the morning! Good luck!! X
Morning. Had my transfer yesterday and all good. Said it was a grade A 5d blastocyst so just got to hope my body welcomes it and it keeps moving and growing!! Partner had to run off after theatre as was in the middle of knocking a wall down in the house and I lay in the recovery room and had a wee cry to myself πππ€πHad a lazy day and night, but just heading out for a big dog walk now! How are your eggies doing?x
Fantastic news am so happy for you, great results considering you only had the one. Certainly sounds like it is the βgolden eggβ couldnβt ask for a better grade π ha ha sounds like my partner he is always rushing back to work it is tough but this is like our 5th attempt now for our second child so he just carries on as normal. Whereas first time wouldβve taken the day off.....
I wonβt know until tomorrow, my clinic donβt work Sundays they said on Saturday all look good but be tomorrow first thing we will find out how they are doing. All being well we are going for a 3 day transfer tomorrow afternoon π€πΌ
we decided to renovate the house while doing this for some reason I now canβt actually believe πmy partner does most of the work himself so as well as running own business is working at night and weekends on the house πHope this is my βgoldenβ eggie but itβs so hard to try and be positive after failed cycle and trying for so long! Counting every second of every minute....days are going to drag until otd π
Fantastic!! I'm 43 as well and have my EC on Monday. You must be feeling so relieved. Wishing you all the good things for tomorrow's call and then a gorgeous transfer of a beautiful and sticky embaby xoxo
Thanks at 43 it is a dream come true, I had the same results last years, for my BFP but miscarried at 8 weeks π Tried again March this year and only got 1 egg so am feeling very very hopeful
Good luck for your EC let us know how many you get π€πΌ x
That's a great result you must feel over the moon. I only got one egg on my last cycle in April/May. I've been on dhea for 9 weeks and the good q10 for this round but still only 2 big follicles. I go in for egg collection tomorrow. I've been on Menopur again which I don't seem to respond to. If I need to I'm going to ask about a change for the next cycle as its costing us a fortune. Can I ask what medication you were on and if you changed anything between the cycles please ? Congratulations and il keep my fingers crossed for you Xx
Hi Melody, so this sounds like me back in March. I only had 2 big follicles and they had me on Menopur due to case studies that quality be better for my age. I was also on DHEA and ubiquinol for 3 months (without my clinics approval and I never told them) It was my worst cycle since being in this process for 4 years. Collected 1 egg and no transfer. Was devastating as only last year had 5 with gonal f and at 39 had 8 with gonal f. Despite nurses telling me Menopur & Gonal f are same I researched the hell out of them and they are clearly not. I firmly believe that I simply respond better to gonal f. I insisted on gonal f this cycle, my consualtant agreed but was adamant this is age factor and not the drugs..... well I feel at 43 and producing 5 eggs well it is purely and simply down to being on the correct FSH drug for my body.
My last cycle I had β0β measurable follicles on my right ovary and only 2 on my left. This time with Gonal f I had β6β measurable on my right and 1 on my left. It is clear to me gonal f works best for me.
This time I never touched DHEA as in the book βit starts with an eggβ it does state you should only take if you are diagnosed with βdiminished ovarian reserveβ which I wasnβt but I had felt best take since am over 40. I was so worried it had detrimental effect last time I never took. I did take ubiquinol 400mg a day until stimming.
I am surprised they kept you on Menopur, I donβt understand why if it didnβt work well for you last time they wouldnβt suggest changing the FSH drug until they find best one for your body.
What I have found is I now question their decisions especially when we donβt get the results we want. Unfortunately we have to manage our own treatment. I felt completely cheated out my last round and am still pissed off they changed me from gonal f which i had responded so well to before .
Thank you so much for your reply. I'm praying I get to transfer this time but if I have to I will now definitely speak to my consultant about gonal f and push to try it as round 3 in this country will be my last before I have to go abroad to make our money stretch, we are self funding .After my last cycle with one egg which failed I asked my consultant about a change of drugs and she brushed it off saying not much difference. I'm 36 and have low am of 5.6 but no other issues with me so it's been very frustrating and hard. Consultant told me to take dhea as I think due to my amh I'm classed as having DOR, thanks again,
Funny my consultant was same, however did agree certain women respond to certain drugs better . What I have discovered is Menopur has 2 hormones LH and FSH. Whereas Gonal F had only one hormone FSH - for me my history proves gonal f gives me more responding follicles. My consultant tells me Menopur is all about identifying the quality eggs.
In your case it does sound like DHEA is suitable for you am hoping this gives you quality over quantity π€πΌπππ»
Thank you, sounds like youβve had a rough journey so far. If you are having failed transfers it is worth asking about the embryo glue ? I had 2 x failed FETS, no glue. Enquired again about glue today & told my clinic now do glue with all transfers
Thanks yes hasnβt been the easiest but trying to stay positive to start next FET in 2 weeks. My clinic use embryo glue with all transfers, we had a good follow up appointment a few weeks ago and are going to give the scratch a go this time around π€ for both of us this Summer xx
Thanks lovely thatβs basically what our doctor said he said I canβt say when but Iβm very confident you will go home with a baby at some point so just trying to be patient and positive!xx
